Thanks, P. So 20's and one "geezer" at 40! The 2 from Philly will either be in an alliance or hate each other. Lol.

So today I was in the 99c store in North Hollywood, CA and I see 2 men talking. One was a small guy and I can hear his accent/familiar voice. I hear the guy saying, "Big Brother" and I realize it's JC Mounduix from season 20. The guy was asking JC if he will be in this year's and he says no. The guy tells him how much he loves JC and I chime in, "We love you!" He was so cute and probably surprised he was recognized. I said, "You put a smile on our face!" It made my day.

That’s awesome!!! I saw Eric, America’s Player from one of the earlier seasons (maybe 9?) in a casino once, I gasped “omggg it’s Eric from Big Brother” as he walked by me, he looked at me, smiled, and walked on. I was too nervous to say anything after gasping that

Too funny. We get star struck. I've lived in L.A. for 40 years now (shoot me) and I've seen a lot of celebs and try to be discreet but one time I saw Kiko Ellsworth right in the middle of my favorite soap, Port Charles. He was in the back of his pickup, pacing. I stopped and said hi and did he need help? He said he was locked out but a friend was coming back with a key. I gushed, I couldn't stop myself! He was very polite and gracious and thanked me for being a fan. He said, "When he comes back, I'll give you an autograph." He had on his front seat a bunch of 8x10's and did just that.

I've been to Cranston myself as I had a friend in L.A. that moved back to Cranston and I drove up from NY to visit with her. Cute town and of course Providence and Newport were great.

The pictures and what they do for a living are up now on any BB site, so check them out!
We got the cast on Thursday, including a last minute swap with Garrett initially included, then replaced by Christian. There's no indication why and likely won't be, unless he surfaces and decides to let us know what happened, but he'd probably have an NDA forbidding that anyway.

Here is what is happening in the BB house:

The theme and decor will be a combination of beach club and casino, and there will be some risk/reward gambles incorporated into the game.

Contestants will enter in groups of four as usual, and those groups will compete immediately in a timed something. The winner of each group will become a team captain.

Team captains will be shown 90-second video clips of the remainders and will select their teams live. Teams will be in play for the first four weeks.

Team captains will then compete for HOH. Everyone on the winner's team will be safe for the week, but the winner will receive a "double or nothing offer from Julie that they won't be able to refuse." No telling what that means, yet, but Julie will present the first offer to the first HOH at the end of the premiere.

The three losing teams will each select one from their team for the Wildcard competition (to air on Sunday shows). The winner of that can choose to be safe for the week but if they do, there will also be a punishment doled out for them, their team, or the entire house.

        This is interesting.

I hope this reduces the sheep mentality. I want to see a real game.

LOL namers. Season 9 of Big Brother Canada did the very same thing with the captains etc. It was very interesting to watch it play out.
Another cast change: We had yet another cast swap today, Christie's out and Claire's in!

Good girl. You know Penelope, my father contracted the 1918 Influenza as a 8 year-old. It presented as fever, then encephalitis. By the time he was 35-40 it morphed in full blown Parkinson's disease and he died at 54 when I was 9. My mother was an OR nurse and all I heard growing up was, "Did you wash your hands? Go wash your hands. Did you wash behind your ears? Go wash your hands!" My understanding is that that 70% of the remaining unvaccinated 30% have no intentions of getting vaccinated. People are walking around like it's eradicated. Foolishness.

So very sorry for your loss namers. Yes, it can't be stressed enough but all the advertising in the world won't fall on those 30%........sadly.

Interesting mix; some should hide their smarts. Two Dereks. Like the Bachelor: "Derek F and Derek X".

I agree about the "smarts" part. Interesting note from the site I use: Claire seems to be a hardcore fan/feedster, and her QA said she wants to eliminate the alpha male types that tend to dominate the game!

Loved the season premiere. I will stick around to see more.

Loved the energy of the cast. No pre-gaming between them. The twists and higher cash prize may be incentive for a good game.

        Hoping it doesn't disappoint.

I liked it so far, but with them starting with a comp, we miss the first meeting and get to know each other session.

Didn't I say they should up the ante? Do I get a prize?

I loved it! Creative, inventive and a lot of accomplished folks. Right now they all like each other........................

Great opening for BB and starting right off the bat with competitions. First Impressions: Really like Frenchie and he's playing it low key I'm already in love with Kyland , he's a WOW. Impressed with Claire, she's very smart and attractive. Whitney is coming off as "easy" to be tactful here.

LOL namers, I hear you. Being a live episode, there was a little blooper. When the women were competing a stage hand was spotted on camera. I think one of the buzzers wasn't working and he came out to fix it. LOL

            • #28
After last night's episode, I've changed my mind about Frenchie. I think being HOH changed him. Checking on the hgs being a regular routine and seeing who's with who is not the way to shine IMO.

I went from not having enought TV to watch to having too much TV to watch! So I might not be able to keep up with the 3-day a week commitment but will read your recaps for sure.
