What Do I Think of These Judges?????

So what do I think of these judges of the new AI....hmm...I wished that AI put one of the old contestants to be a judge. It would have been more appealing. Rihanna would have made a fantastic job. I don't think she has any album coming out but her last album...was not popular enough. She might be slipping away even though its hers and Beyoncé world....Kelly Rowland would be have been great too for this gig .................This just pop in my mind, I know Mariah did AI....and it should have been a hit for us....but it was not. So having big superstars on the panel...uh, not sure....AI should have kept Keith Urban. Like seriously a eye candy man....sorry Luke Byran.....AI should have hired one person who has the knowledge of music and personality...like Simon Cowell. Its a shame that they did not brought him back...then again he is doing AGT....Hmmm.........lets talk about Katy Perry. I like her but her music just went down the drain. If AI is still a success, then we may see her again, along with the other judges....Anyway, that is my thought for now................

March 11th, 8pm Eastern on ABC, is when American Idol on!!! Season 16!!! Looking forward to it and seeing if it's good for another season. Can't wait for this journey to start! Hope we get more members to respond here

I find it a shame that they chose celebrity over experience in judging. I miss having true judges from the industry and that is where I think Idol went wrong the last few years. The celebrities would rave about a contestant who couldn't hold a pitch. HCJ was the most interesting in that he brought in at least some music theory and told people how to practice to get better pitch. However, I didn't really feel that the judges held people accountable for their pitch issues, if they could hear it at all. Simon Cowell would give people a pass if he thought they had room to grow, but ultimately, he would say that they have no chance of winning, so it didn't matter who was voted off one week versus another.

The pitch issues made the show less than appealing to me, although I found that people such as Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, and Adam Lambert were stars.

Soo....was going to say happy, but okay that AI is back aka American Idol! I think the 3 judges are growing on me...still watching from my DVR. They have been to NYC & Nashville. I am happy that Lionel changed his mind of Ron! His audition was good. Koby thou, oh geez, she would be right for Broadway, but not for AI. I still have more to see.....oh yeah, interesting that AI captured the National Anthem girl on the news....she made it thru AI.


* The highlights of the first episode was....the two sisters, Nico & Noah Davis, The Frank Sinatra socks guy, which I thought may not go thru. And Dennis from Philly!!! I truly enjoyed the first episode....I have to learn more of Luke Bryan thou...I know he is a country singer, but I don't listen to country music at all...Sometimes I wished Randy Jackson would have came back....

Sorry I am late...I am on the second episode on AI....I can't believe that AI judges let the Miami based girl go thru, but not the one who sang a Ukraine song. I thought he was unique, and could have went further in competition.

The Cuban guy was talented along with Tucker. The other gut that Katy Perry said to shake his hair was cute...

3rd Episode....I am in the middle of it on my DVR. I loved the guy and the teacher! That melted my heart.


* Saw it....I liked the twins from Malibu CA, but their singing was way off. The guy who went to another cpuntry, had passion of singing. The last contestant, with her best friend, melted my heart.

4th Episode....I can't get the dog pooping on the floor. Very gross. There was a man, where his druggie mom, replace him for a car, I loved everything about him. There is more to watch. So stay tuned!

* The Taylor sisters were cute, but I saw more of a star quality in Payton. The other one was mediocre singer. Even Katy Perry said that she does not know where she fitted in to being in this competition. There was a dread locks hair guy. His singing did not wowed me but his hair did. The last guy of the end of the show, blew me away with his life story. I hope he makes it.

This was last Monday, so bear with me. Yeah I am late and still watching. Soo far, I liked Layla...sad to see Zach go. Sad to see David who was walking with the crunches go. Cade...who I did not see in auditions moved me away. Trevor, the one who has a crush on Katy, but has a girlfriend, got thru....I think I am in the groups round...if anything comes up, I will say it here.

Shortcut To American Idol

Sorry I am late, since there was a update on these boards. Since I can't remember the last week or so, here is the shortcut of this. There were top 24 cast. The first top 12 performed! And some were cut....poor Layla Spring. She did not made it thru. This past Sunday, another 12 performed...along with duets on the next day...which I will discuss. I just have not watched those parts yet....

I thought that Layla Spring was a little spitfire. I was sad to see her go. As Randy would have said, she was in it to win it.

Love Dennis. Love Marcio. I really liked Amelia, but she was really pitchy on her last solo. It's too bad. I'd have given her another shot, since it was a one time thing. Effie too. Her voice was beautiful and soulful. I don't get how she could not have made the cut.

I have to say that we aren't hearing the same old songs we've heard throughout the years so I'm enjoying the song selections. The judges have been halting the pitchy people and that is good. I think we had a solid top 24 and a solid top 14.
