    Instinct

A new series starting on March 18th.
It's about a former CIA opperative who is now a Professor and writer and is approached by the NYPD to help find a serial killer. Played brilliantly (I assume) by Alan Cumming.............love him

I'm looking forward to this, Thanks PenP--Alan Cumming may add a touch of eccentricity. Need something good to watch these days--I may be done with reality shows.
It's great he got a lead finally!

The series Instinct is based on a James Patterson book called "Murder Games". He's one of my favourite authors.

That's interesting info PP and I've read that book. I read Patterson too, but no-one can be as prolific as he is and while I'm not sure how it works when you have a co-author, I find now that I know which of his books I will read based on the co-author. Murder Games' co-author was Howard Roughan, who I like.

I love Alan Cumming, so I'm watching. Enjoying it so far, but it reminds me a lot of a Sherlock Holmes type of character, like the Elementary version. Eccentric, smart as hell, sees things others miss.

                      Enjoyed the 1st eppy.
I agree, Lanfear .. it has a Sherlock Holmes vibe to it.

It was a nice surprise to see Whoopi Goldberg as "Joan Ross".

Yes! Whoopi said on The View, that she did not "act" anymore. Interesting.

Great to see Alan Cumming back on screen, I am giving it a try just for him. I like the lead actress. Normally I do not watch shows based on books I've read because usually the casting is not what I imagine when I'm reading the book - Rizzoli & Isles and Bosch being examples. However, in this case it's been a long time since I read the book this is based on.

I'm hooked and I do like the lead actress too......they make a good pair. "Dressed to Kill" was a neat story.
