Any Blue Bloods fans here? One of my favourite shows. What a shocker the premiere was - to find Linda Regan gone!!! Strange way of doing it too. I am personally ambivalent about how they wrote the character out - although it certainly was different/strange [to write out one of the long term characters in such a way] - but there is a lot of fan anger being posted.

I wished that they show a flashback of Linda death or a funeral I wonder if Danny will get a new love interest this season -
I would prefer to see him coping as a single father; and somehow given their relationship it w/b a long time, if ever, he would be in a new relationship. Erin has never been in a relationship and it's worked.
This is when I would [sort of] like to see the prime time shows do - recast - "this ... is now being played by ...". Not sure how held it would work in a prime time show, but I do hate to see Linda go. She was not a major player, bu gave balance to Danny and also to whole family.Comment

I've watched this show since the beginning and I never really warmed up to the character of Linda........sorry. That being said, I would love love for Tom Selleck to have a love interest, he is long overdue IMO.Comment

Out of the few brief love interests he has had over the years, there was one I liked - can't remember who she was now, maybe the journalist. But the show and the character do not seem to want to go there; I see he is still wearing his wedding ring.Comment

Blue Bloods always tell a good story and the latest episode is no exception. My biggest surprise was seeing Tia Carrere playing a bad role and not looking anything like she use too

I liked Linda on Blue Bloods and saw a bunch of backlash on social media too. They also killed off the mom/wife off of the tv show. Kevin Can Wait too. Which is another cbs tv show. Guess we will have to see what happens. Excited to watch Blue Bloods tonight!Comment

I loved the last episode, especially at the end when the portrait revealed the Commissioner as a "beat" cop.
They also addressed Linda's death with the children speaking to their Father.............Well done.Comment

ITA Penelope P. I was so glad to see Danny have the conversation with the younger son. Linda's death has not been fully addressed IMO. For the son to ask why his mother died and not Danny when he has the dangerous job ... well done!
Was also interested seeing Erin ask Nicky what she was like when she divorced her father after realizing the case had been happening on the day of the divorce!Comment

^^^That is why that I find each show awesome in their story telling. The only "couple" that I just can't warm up to is Jaimie and Eddie......they just don't have the "it" factor for me........Comment

I actually like Jamie & Eddie - but not sure I would want to see them get romantically involved (any more than they already have done on occasion). I like them as partners and friends, with the question always being will they or won't they! But without that bit of tension/question mark, it wouldn't be quite the same. I do have mixed feelings about it though. They've shown time and time again they have feelings for each other, and chosen not to act on them.Comment
