Outstanding finale for the season. Some missing bits from the novels--Geillis suffers from Syphilis in the book, which has effected her brain and the boys she enslaves. We don't see that in the film.
Great acting. Have to wait a whole year for the New World season. I was thinking they must have been shipwrecked on Savannah Beach, Georgia. I recognized it!

Congratulations Catriona Balfe for your nomination . The season finale sure was a humdinger. The storm sequence........WOW, and IMO, Jaimie and Claire can outdo any movie actor/actresses in the love scene department, hands down.

Jeezz---that scene was almost like soft porn! They also have the best chemistry.

Any idea the channel PenP? These days even Netflix is airing these shows.

I know it's not on Netflix. Here in Canada, it's on the Woman's Channel and HBO. Hope that helps!

I miss the allure of Scotland in the new episode. It was good, but we've seen lots of shows taking place in colonial America. We weren't taught Scottish history in school, so I found the first seasons very intriguing. However, i love Jaime and Claire and am glad that we have new episodes ahead.

Season 3 great episode, with the two leads Claire and Jaime hot together still into their on-screen 45-50's. I would really like to do something about Jaime's ragged bangs though.
The scene in which the pirate invaded their riverboat, with that modern "America" song, was very effective in it's irony. I hope that pirate shows up later and gets the business
from Jaime after they saved his rotten life. I do miss Scotland in the story, however.

Looks like some changes in the story, probably for budget reasons. Rolo, for instance is a water retriever dog who catches his own fish to eat.
Jaime told his nephew that he did not want to have to feed the animal. The nephew told him that Rolo feeds himself--as long as they are near water!
Claire liked the dog--in the show, she was appalled because the dog looked like a "bloody wolf!" The dog looks a mix between a samoyed and a German
Shepherd. Or it could be a tame Coywolf!

I had to turn it off. It kept getting darker and darker. It was so sad.

I hear ya. It is almost as dark these days as This is Us ! I have to watch that in Fast Forward on a sunny day!
It shows you what perilous times young America had. People escaped persecution in foreign lands just to arrive in a place
                            that was even more dangerous.

This week was everything that I loved about the books. There was beauty and love and humanity and strength. No violence needed.
