I didn't mind it. Also noticed the great international cast including Fiona Shaw aka Aunt Petunia in the HP movies, Joely Richardson, Julian Bleach, David Calder and a few more from assorted BBC and ITV productions. Going to give it another shot before I make a decision

hi kls! the cast is great, i'm just not so pleased about the writing. but like you, i'll give it a chance. i think it will help me to watch with captions, i couldn't hear a lot of the dialogue very well....musician's wife syndrome, lol!

Hi mamabarri, well it's a "different" interpretation of the Wizard of Oz if you will and like you, I'll give it a shot and see how it goes.

I tried this show and loved the modern day depiction of the physician and the new setting for the tornado. It was very well done. However Oz was too dystopic for me. What I loved about the movie was how beautiful the world was except for the witch. The contrast was startling. Over here, the world was dark and creepy and I couldn't really feel for any of the characters except Dorothy. I wanted to enjoy this but I don't feel compelled to tune in again.

i have to agree, i won't be watching again. i read all the books as a kid, and still read them, this is NOT MY OZ.
