CLOUDFARE Security Message
Over the past few days you may have received a "Checking if the site connection is secure" message when accessing the site. This is perfectly normal and not cause for alarm.
This message indicates that the server is confirming that the SSL (the "s" that you see in the https before web addresses) security is, in fact, secure. This is not some sort of advertisement and it is not some sort of nefarious hacking.
Cloudfare, which is a provide of web hosting and security, has recently added this layer of security on the Soap Central message boards platform as an added layer of security.
The message may occur any time that your browser makes a new connection to the boards. The message may also stop appearing at any time as the process is further integrated into the boards.

I think that was one of the reasons the show didn't last any longer than it did.....with Chase, Maggie, Melissa, Vicki, Cole, Emma, and Julia all having left, and Jane Wyman's health issues keeping Angela out of the show for most of the last season.....the show was mostly a bunch of newbies at the end....there was still Richard, Ciao Li, and Lance, but.....it wasn't enough to sustain interest in the show....

According to Soap Opera Digest at the time, Julia was supposed to take over the Cartel, which had previously been run by Jacqueline Perrault, Chase's mother, but the show changed their mind. I always figured it was because the audience would have had a hard time buying Julia's transformation from a simpering, whiny, unlucky in love victim to an evil business woman.

I was able to accept Chase Gioberti"s death, but when they killed off Maggie (fired Susan Sullivan) I stopped watching. Still haven"t seen the following seasons and still have no interest in doing so.
No i am wrong. Susan wasn"t fired.....robert foxworth was fired. I am remembering things now. Susan left the show then returned i think in the ninth season. The writing was not as good after the 4-5th season.
seasons 1-3 were fantastic.Last edited by jujubees; July 9, 2017, 07:23 PM.

I would love to see Falcon Crest get a reboot - not an updated retread of the original as is being done with Dynasty - but a continuation of the original....Robert Foxworth, David Selby, Abby Dalton, Margaret Ladd, Lorenzo Lamas, Jamie Rose, William Moses; they're all still alive...the only major original cast member to have passed is Jane Wyman - and yes, she was central to the original show and not just a secondary player, but when you've got so many original cast members still living....do a four hour mini-series and see what the numbers are like...if they warrant it, do a revival show. The 'next generation' is built in with Joseph Gioberti, Kevin and Michael Channing, Emma's daughter Angela that was mentioned in the series finale - Lance could easily have had a child - Richard could have had one with Lauren in the years since the show ended - a mini-series could bring Chase back from the dead, alive and living in seclusion for the past twenty-five years, until Angela's recent passing brings him back to Falcon Crest to reclaim his ownership from Lance and Richard - an attempt on Chase's life is made, everyone assumes it's Julia, since Lance's 'birthright' is again being threatened...Chase survives the attempt on his life, and in the end the culprit is caught and Chase settles back in to the Tuscany Valley to start again, offering Lance and Richard each 33% of the winery, with him retaining 34% of it and controlling interest. If the ratings are good, then the show picks up from there.;0)
