CLOUDFARE Security Message
Over the past few days you may have received a "Checking if the site connection is secure" message when accessing the site. This is perfectly normal and not cause for alarm.
This message indicates that the server is confirming that the SSL (the "s" that you see in the https before web addresses) security is, in fact, secure. This is not some sort of advertisement and it is not some sort of nefarious hacking.
Cloudfare, which is a provide of web hosting and security, has recently added this layer of security on the Soap Central message boards platform as an added layer of security.
The message may occur any time that your browser makes a new connection to the boards. The message may also stop appearing at any time as the process is further integrated into the boards.

Those things are tricky; sometimes they're set up to ping you hours or even days later after you've visited the site you picked it up from. Sometimes it might be coming from one of the ads our syndicate packages for us. If you notice what ads are showing when the pop up rears it's ugly head, please let us know, and Dan will get it removed (and the syndicate will address it with the source).
In the mean time, don't click on those things. Back out; and make sure your anti virus is up to date. You may even want to use a cleaner to get the cookies out of your system, and re-start your computer. I use the free version of CCleaner.

I merged these because the problem described is so similar; please see post #2 for a thumbnail of how it works from our end - and if you guys can see which ad is showing when the alert comes up and let us know, Dan will absolutely address it with the syndicate.
It's so frustrating - for you guys, for us, and for the syndicate. Every time there's an advance in detecting this junk ahead of time, the bad guys sneak it in a new way and the dance starts anew.
