CLOUDFARE Security Message

Over the past few days you may have received a "Checking if the site connection is secure" message when accessing the site. This is perfectly normal and not cause for alarm.

This message indicates that the server is confirming that the SSL (the "s" that you see in the https before web addresses) security is, in fact, secure. This is not some sort of advertisement and it is not some sort of nefarious hacking.

Cloudfare, which is a provide of web hosting and security, has recently added this layer of security on the Soap Central message boards platform as an added layer of security.

The message may occur any time that your browser makes a new connection to the boards. The message may also stop appearing at any time as the process is further integrated into the boards.

  • How do I contact moderator over problem of notification showing up in my password?

It shows up as a notification in the password slot next to my screen name and is a friend request but I can't clear it. What can I do?

You should be able to select the notification, then you'll be taken to a window where you can either accept or reject the friend request. Then the notification will go away.

That's a feature where you can befriend a person & talk to them on their Visitor Message Page, clicking on their name to get there & talk. If you write there, and they respond to you on your Visitor Message, your Notification sign, will turn blue, and you will know. Then you can write to them on their page.

If you are still confused, explore, when clicking on your name. You can click on other people names too, to get an idea on this feature.

Thank you CallAboutTheCat and Tiff for trying to help me. Tried many times to clear it but it kept coming back now the notification tab is covering my password tab but now it says there is not notification so guess it has cleared.

There are a couple of ways to contact a moderator directly. All of our posts contain a link for emailing us, at the bottom. You can click onto that and go from there. The other way is to click onto our name and go into our profile page. There is a link for emailing at the top left of our pages.

Sometimes pesky technical problems can be fixed if you completely sign out of your SOC account and then sign back in again. If you haven't tried this yet, it might help!

okay, if your problem isn't already solved, here's what i did when i had this problem a year or so ago.
sign out. restart your computer. come back to the board. click on password FIRST, then remember me, then your username and click enter. et voila! then you'll be able to tell if you actually have any messages.
