Emails when there are thread updates not working anymore

A few months or so ago, I stopped receiving emails whenever there were thread updates. I went to settings and asked for instant notifications when the threads I responded to or created had new posts. I don't recall ever changing my settings. It just stopped working. I tried to fix it the other day and one or two times, got random thread updates from threads back in November! I love these emails, but I just cannot figure out how to fix them. I use my IPhone to go on the message boards. Perhaps I need to fix the notifications on my laptop, maybe? Help!!! Thanks.

I'm so bummed and have been for a while now. I loved getting new posts from threads I responded to or created. It saved me time. All I get now is weirdly enough, an occasional thread update from threads started back in November. Please bring me back my current updates.

Update: Notifications had to be turned off because they were being rejected as spam by some email service providers

Thanks Pop. I turned off my computer and refreshed, and now I am back on track. Scary when that happens! (my disappearing screen).

I've been having this same problem for some time now too! I have tried to contact an admin through this site a couple of times but have never gotten an answer so I must be commenting in the wrong place, lol!

But even though I subscribe to a thread deliberately, I never get notifications anymore, only notifications for posts that are months old but do not exist. I have a Gmail account. Pop, is that why I'm no longer getting them? Is Gmail one of the ones that is marking them as spam?
