Victor is right where he should be—in the big chair. But he always needs loyalty. Victor asks Nate to help him deal with Victoria. Victor treats Nate all of a sudden like the son he always wanted. Someone he can count on. Sharing a drink with. I do think Nate respects Victor and wouldn’t betray him even for Victoria. But that doesn’t mean Victor wouldn’t turn on Nate. Either way, Nate will be thrown to the curb. By either Victoria or Victor. He can’t please them both. Interesting that Victor asked Nate if Victoria was planning something and if Nate would tell him if she was.

Victor is asking for Nate's loyalty. If Nate crosses him, Victor will cut him off at the knees and kick him out of Newman. Victor isn't crazy. My issue is the writers need to SORAS the next generation of Newmans. Maybe one of them will show interest in earning at Victor's knee and be the next in line to run the company.

Don’t get Victor. He is usually suspicious but
not about Nate who isn’t a member of his
family. Being nice to him because of Vicky.

Nate has those caring eyes that I sometimes see when he genuinely is concerned about someone. I did see that yesterday with Victor! Nate is still a doctor who use to treat Victor which is why I think Nate is concerned about Victor but I also think he agrees with Victor being back as CEO! Nate doesn't agree with Victoria going after Victor and trying to make him look incompetent!
Nate is in a bad position being caught in the middle of Victoria and Victor! I don't see his relationship with Victoria surviving this because I really think a big part of Nate has more respect for Victor than he does Victoria! Nate really believes that Victor respects his opinion and he may be even think that Victor does trust him even if it's a little bit, but I don't think that's the case.
I think Nate's loyalty is going to be tested in a big way here.... I think his loyalty will be to Victor and I could be wrong, but I just don't think Nate likes the way Victoria is handling being demoted!Comment

My friend, you are such a trusting person! You think the very best of people, even soap characters, and even Nate the Snake. LOL. I so admire you for that. I myself am not a big enough person to do it. But you always look for the good in all these characters, even when they have shown they are usually up to no good! For some of these people, I just cannot see anything good, or that they have benevolent motives. Probably because I know that in the real world, there are so many dark parts of human nature. Some nefarious beings have no hesitation to lie, obfuscate, manipulate, steal, betray, or horribly hurt another person. Or even kill someone. That is the horror of the real world. But I also know there are more good people than bad, though sometimes it does not seem like this is true. But I still believe in goodness. I have to remind myself every day to have Faith in that. You are a very, very good person. You are SO "ZEN." LOL. Truly. Thanks for your comment. Proves what kind of Good Soul you are.

I honestly believe good lives in us all, it really saddens me when I see or hear people being cruel to one another. I always believe when you hurt others, you ultimately hurt yourself! I will always look for the good in a person even when they are being nasty to me. The last thing I want to do is hurt anyone, being a product of abuse up to the age of 21, I know how it feels to be mistreated, beaten and being mentally abused which was my life for many years so I would not want to inflict that kind of pain on anyone and cause them to hurt in any way... let me stop.... I get really emotional when I talk about myself, but thank you so much...I am really happy we are friends here on this board and that we met even if it's through sharing comments and stories here, it means a lot to me as do you. Love that we have connected here.
I really love your comment. You articulate so well... you are right about the real world and the dark parts of it....it's pretty scary which is why I choose to see the beauty in the world and if you really look, you can see it especially in nature.
I know you are genuinely good person, it's a sense I get just from connecting with you here... like you said in your comment, you still believe in goodness and that's awesome....it's all around us if we just pay attention and not focus on the bad that tries to steal our joy!
