Thoughts on Elena's whereabouts

I seriously doubt it. Elena is a safe boring character. Characters like that tend to make it difficult for writers to keep them in stories. Elena may pop up soon as someone’s doctor or to give Nate and Victoria the evil eye. Other than that I don’t see the character as a front burner at all

I sure don't miss her.. what a boring dull character and there is no one left for her.. I think we will see her here and there and not much of that.. I do think she will be a goner soon.. she adds nothing to the show.

I believe Sally or Adam saw the baby after she died so no, I don't think that.

I had actually forgot all about her. They have never really fleshed her character out. All she seems to do is go to the hospital, and when she's not there she talks about how tired she is from working at the hospital, and then she heads back to the hospital.

I truly don't believe Elena has Ava! I can't see Elena being so cruel as to hold on to anybody newborn.... Elena saw how distraught Sally and Adam were.... she wouldn't do that to them in my opinion.
May be she's at a meditation retreat!

I think may be they can give Elena a stalker story where she is being stalked that leads to her being attacked or something.
May be they can give Elena a story where a child she gave away at a young age comes looking for her, but the child is older and angry with her. I don't know how old Elena is suppose to be, but she could of had a child in her teenage years that she gave up. I am just trying to come up with something for her because I like the character and would like to see her involved in a major storyline that I believe she would be very good in.

Wherever Elena is, I miss her. She is a believable, emotional authentic character who brings a needed layer of truth and heart to the YR screen. As for her being tired, Frank52, I think we've all, watched enough soaps to have figured out that her being tired happened only when Nate needed to be free to become entangled with another woman - to some extent with Imani and to a greater extent with Victoria.

Even with the forced "tired" mode, she provided some of the best real emotion in that Nate-Victoria mess.

Sadly I think it is tough to come up with a story for her. She is too isolated. She is the only one at the hospital so unless someone is sick there is no story there. She really has no friends. Even her scenes with Audra have come to an end since she broke up with Nate. No way does she have Ava. That is just not who she is. With so many stories focusing on business, I just am not seeing story options for her sadly.

Sadly, as well, Elena has proved herself as really good friend material. So much so that, in my "travels," I've seen wishes from fans of various characters that she be their favorites friend - Lily, Sharon, Sally, Audra, and even Victoria (before the latest story). As well, there was a great opening for her to be a friend and support person for Adam with all he has gone through. He could certainly use a different perspective.

Elena's biggest problem now, though, that is the writing team of one is very fixated on the business world. Overly so, IMO. But that's what it is.

Just like they have written Sharon into the business stories they can do the same for Elena. Now that Elena quit Newman they can have Lily approach her about coming back to work for CW and revamp AskMD, Elena can also be written to have gotten promoted to Chief of Staff at the hospital and she can be more into the business side of things like having all the big companies make donations to the hospital and clinic. They can also write Lily offering Elena a room and they become roommates. Elena can be seen coming down the stairs when Daniel is visiting and she can have a short conversation and leave. There are a lot of ways to include Elena in the stories.

Those are actually all good suggestions and they could work. Sadly I see anyone associated with what’s left of the Winters family being phased out or assimilated.

She had a bit of a storyline with being dumped by Nate. Now she has nothing unless someone is sick. I HIGHLY doubt she has that baby. I believe that ship has docked in a far away land never to return. And, sorry to say, since I do like her, I don't miss her.

I am thinking more, it is likely, only premised on we haven't seen her much,and it may mean she has AVA, Adam daughter(and Sally's) and i think it would be great,

because it will definitely invoke really high ratings, by sept.(sweeps)

The writers have striped the family company away from Lily and Devon, basically diminishing their characters. Nell's legacy has been reduced to a music longue, even though he was the most successful (in terms of running companies) business person in GC, Elena was cheated on by Nate with Victoria never to be heard from since. Amanda and her sister are gone along with Moses. The only character left who get screen time and a s/l is Nate. Just like the writers push all the hispanic out, they are doing the same with the black characters.

Well, at least we’ll always have a big color photo of Neil prominently displayed in a jazz lounge in the AC which once was part of a HW empire. (This is sarcasm in case you’re wondering.)

Sadly, I totally, totally agree with you. It’s really a sad state of reality. Y&R is not diverse as it once was under William Bell, Sr. There’s no more black families on this show.

I like Elena. I hope she comes back soon and is written to be a part of either Lilly's company or Sharon, Nick and Adam's company so that she can be an integral part of the take down of Nate & Victoria! Don't care how they do it, I just want to see my girl, Elena, get some sweet revenge on those two dogs!
