Can Victoria be ousted as CEO?

Firstly, I loved the way Nikki lit into Victoria for her decision about Nicholas. Great scene. AND loved that Victor pointed out that Nick was more than capable of handling his work despite his personal situation - even did so without raising his voice which was far more effective. I have never seen Victor so disenchanted with Victoria's decisions/leadership. As he said, they hit a nerve and their fears and guess that her relationship with Nate being a factor w/b realized now that she has asked him to be interim COO. What is her status? Can Victor still oust her from the CEO job if he so chooses; or does she have an ironclad contract?

As for Nick's leave of absence - as I said in another thread, how long can it be for; I would assume not long and certainly not long enough to warrant putting someone in the job - Nikki could pick up the slack.

I wouldn’t put it past Victor to do just that. I would love to see the looks on her and Nate’s faces if that happened. It would be glorious!

I thought Victor already warned Victoria NOT to do what she did. I hope there are serious repercussions after this, and especially after what smarmy Nate said to Nick.

I’m surprised Victor didn’t put his foot down. It is his company. He is the ultimate decision maker. If Nick didn’t want to leave and Nikki & Victor didn’t think it was necessary for him to go, what is the issue? Victor should have said no. When she threatened to quit, he should have said, go ahead. I don’t know why she gets to make the decision

There was mention of Victoria having an ironclad contract at one point. But then she stepped away for a couple of days after the Ashland Locke stuff, so I don’t know if that contract is still in effect or not.

Regardless, even if she has an ironclad contract, Victor can oust her if he really wants to. It would cost him A LOT of money though.

I too was surprised that Victor didn't put his foot down when Victoria insisted that Nick take a leave of absence especially since not too long ago, Victor said the decision was his to make and that they were going to call Nick's absence, personal time off! I don't understand why Victor continues to tread lightly when it comes to Victoria! She almost cost him his company with her terrible choice in men! I really think Victor needs to take off the kiddie gloves with Victoria and remind her how she almost lost the company to Ashland and that he sees a pattern with her. Victoria wants to play hardball with Nick, well I think it's time Victor plays hardball with Victoria! I absolutely believe that Victor can oust Victoria as CEO! This is still Victor Newman's company, he put Victoria in that chair which she needs to remember.
