Shouldn’t Sharon be Doing A Mental Health Podcast.

If the show is so determined to do this shouldn’t it be Sharon?

Billy doesn’t talk about his serious mental health issues in general, I don’t even remember him ever talking about being suicidal.

And I am just tired of Chelsea altogether and her “story” altogether.

Get Sharon out of the coffeehouse and use that degree to help the public at large. Heck Chance can help and can tell people what the law can and cannot do in a mental health emergency.

Shouldn't Chelsea's (offscreen) therapist be working on Chelsea's over the top impetuousness? She thinks of something and just blazes ahead, bulldozing everyone along the way to get what she wants. And right now what she wants is Billy.

Perhaps Sharon can be a part of the podcast in a professional capacity. Chelsea can talk all she wants about her own experience but she shouldn't be giving advice.

I honestly think that Y&R is missing the mark with their 'media' companies altogether....all they seem to do is compete to buy each other out....

The show could feature the following 'new' ventures that would lend to a ton of new story possibilities....a talk therapy podcast or show for Sharon that could lead to a stalker storyline....a GC Style, Gossip and Fashion show hosted by Gloria...a news program from Mariah that uncovers corruption and puts her in danger...a 'Ted Talks' program hosted by someone (a new character perhaps), a 'next superstar' program hosted by Tessa.....Abby used to broadcast 'The Naked Heiress'...make her a tv personality....

They have the potential to do something a lot more interesting than Billy's mopey podcasts....and to branch out 'business' stories beyond Newman and Abbott....

No. Sharon is boring. I have never enjoyed listening to her give advice, because it's always basic, and lacks any sort of depth or insight that I couldn't get from a ten-year-old.

The only type of podcast that should be airing on this show, is one that leads to messy, chaotic fallout. Something like a Restless Style in podcast form, would not be a horrible idea. Not a podcast where a bunch of dullards talks about their mental illnesses.

These characters don't need podcasts. They need a long inpatient stay at Fairview and a journal.

Given that neither Billy nor Chelsea handle criticism well, they might go ballistic if they start reading negative comments and feedback and rant about those in their next podcast.

If they must have a podcast, I don't mind Sharon being the host. She can definitely offer her expertise in the field of mental health.
I am not sure if doing a podcast right now is best for Chelsea who not so long ago tried to take her own life! She had a very short stay in the mental hospital and seems to have made a miraculous recovery with no remnants of mental illness that I can see.... how do we know she is even well... Billy doesn't seem to be fully on board with it and may be that's because he isn't ready to share some of his personal demons with the world yet!
With Chelsea everything just seems to be moving a bit too fast for me.... it makes me wonder if she will relapse!

Angeldar, I think you are right about Billy. His heart isn't into these podcasts anymore... I am hoping he tells her no! The idea that Billy will be the one they blame should Chelsea have a set back is all the more reason why Billy needs to steer clear of Chelsea and work on himself and his own demons! Just because those two have dealt with mental illness themselves doesn't mean they are suited to host a podcast... Billy still hasn't even gotten help for his own issues and Chelsea thinks they can successfully host a podcast on mental illness....

jenroj, MCE performance was indeed outstanding but I agree with you about the story being a bust! Chelsea is still manipulative and still has her sites set on Billy.... she's just going about it a different way seeing how the last approach didn't turn out so good for her.

I've seen several posts about Billy turning down Chelsea on the idea of another podcast together. Billy seemed into it today, but I guess he might change his mind tomorrow.

Audra is the one who brought up the podcast idea to Nate again yesterday. I wonder if Audra will get people on board to resume podcasting?

Maybe it would be good if Sharon and Chelsea do a podcast together. From what's been posted, seems like Billy probably won't be interested in doing one with Chelsea.

I have no desire to listen to Sharon do a podcast. She’s not my fav, but I am interested in Chelsea in a worthwhile storyline and if it is with Billy so be it.

For the poster who says Chelsea is after Billy, so what. He’s no better than she is. He slept with his lover’s daughter. A girl who was young enough to be his daughter. That’s far worst than anything Chelsea has done. That’s plain disgusting.

I feel the same. Not a Sharon fan. I don't think she adds anything to the show anymore. Sharon is dull. And the last thing I want to do is hear that whiney boring chick get on the mic telling people what to do.. she does enough of that in her coffee shop. YAWn NOw Chelsea is a much more interesting character and she is so adorable that I love to hear her talk especially when she giggles.

I hate the podcast idea, and hated the idiotic one Billy had before. I think it's good that someone who was suicidal just 2 months prior and her support buddy do a podcast to show ANYONE can do a podcast whether they should or not and can be a cautionary tale of not listening to podcasts for real help.

Podcasts have to be interesting, otherwise they're just white noise. What do Billy and Chelsea and possibly Sharon have to offer that would really be of interest and make people sit up and take notice?

Whining about their mental health struggles a la SpareHarry isn't going to do it.
