Will Kyle be Rey’s replacement for Chelsea?

Gotta say, I think after Kyle’s and Chelsea’s meeting in the park I see Chelsea latching on to Kyle as a replacement in her eyes for Rey who she was falling for. Didn’t see that coming but it does tie her into the Kyle/Summer SLs especially if Summer hires Chelsea to work for her.

I saw it, too. Didn’t want to, though. What is it with Chelsea and the unattainable, married man? Her mental illness flare ups lead me to believe she might develop an even more obsessive approach with whoever she sets her eyes on next. I was thinking it might be Chance because of his connection to Rey and the fact that he’s been having trouble bonding with his family since he’s been back. However, her random run-in with Kyle does make it seem like the writers could be heading in that direction instead.

I'm not sure about Kyle. He and Summer seem pretty tight, and they're popular generally with the viewing audience. That said, for s/l purposes, the writers may be needing to shake things up now that they plan to live in GC permanently. And proximity to temptation is always a factor in relationships. But, I've been thinking that the possibility of Chelsea going after Chance (or even Noah for that matter, though I think he's a bit young for her) is a more likely scenario. Chance's bond with with the baby is tenuous, and his relationship with Devon is shaky now, which portends problems with Abby in future.

I’m sorry. I never meant to imply Kyle would have anything to do with it. He and Summer have a stable relationship right now. I simply meant that Chelsea would have an obsession with him, like she did with Rey. It would be totally one-sided.

Now I could see a possibility of Chance straying, though.

"Run Forest Run"!! That scene from Forest Gump came to mind when I watched that scene. Chelsea's therapy should be ongoing. Adam was looking at her scared as hell. He knows Chucky might be coming out again. Chloe knows something is off too.

Nahh I think it’ll be Chelsea and Chance in the end who hook up … if anyone hires Chelsea and works with her it’ll be Summer as I don’t see Kyle being that invested in the fashion industry Someone else suggested though maybe Kyle witnessing Chelsea’s meltdown that maybe he will try to persuade Summer not to hire Chelsea as she seems to be coming undone? Not sure how it’ll play out but I don’t see anything much coming from the short scene between Kyle and Chelsea… I mean considering he and Summer just ran into Chelsea and Connor at Crimson Lights the day before it’s only natural imo for him to ask her if she’s ok after seeing her throwing a fit in the park

Chelsea and Chance make sense but I can see them doing it with Chelsea/Kyle, Phyllis hates Chelsea so That scene was so random that it had to be a small chemistry test. I think it passed. I saw some chemistry.

Like I said Kyle and his wife Summer just ran into Chelsea and Connor the day before at the coffee shop and Summer hinted at hiring Chelsea so I don’t see it as a Chem test lol… but like Adam/Sally and Chloe all saw as well in the same episode … Chelsea is coming undone … Kyle may not want that kind of drama at Jabot and may go against Summer hiring for that reason. I don’t think it’s any more than everyone who’s seen her sees she’s becoming unhinged. Also you see chemistry with everyone Theresa_Fan ? so of course you see it with this second random scene between Kyle and Chelsea… she seems old enough to be his mom imo so I don’t see any chemistry there… not l anything like he does with NuSummer that’s for sure.

Well seeing how chemistry is subjective I just don’t see it … not in the least…but to each their own. Chelsea has such a desperation about her at the moment and it’s sad… hopefully she gets a man in her life who wants to be with her and not just this one sided obsession she’s seemed to have lately. I’m thinking Chelsea and Chance may be headed to hooking up but who knows.. they both seem to have the Rey factor to grieve about at the moment.

I hope not Kyle and Summer have enough on their plate when it comes to Diane & Ashland and no doubt that will cause problems in their marriage esp with Phyllis and Victor trying to get Summer to intervene. Chelsea will be too much then again this is a soap LOL & at the end of the day it wouldn't surprise me. Chelsea is ill and that scene with Kyle was too random not to mean something. She's probably gonna end up working with Summer so.... guess we'll see.

I haven't seen it yet, but there is NO WAY Kyle would get with Chelsea. No way on earth. I could see Chelsea acting whacko with Kyle, but he won't reciprocate.

Chelsea should have been with Jack a long time ago. I still think they would make a good match.

The random run in at Chancellor Park threw me for a loop! I don't even think I ever seen Chelsea and Kyle interact. I don't think Kyle will be a replacement for Rey for Chelsea. Summer and Kyle are pretty solid from what I can see and I hope it stays that way.
I do hope Chelsea gets it together before she snaps and ends up back at Fairview... she's come so far since having the charges dropped. I would hate to see her relapse losing Connor and her new business.

You’re not wrong! Honestly the writing has been bad for her for awhile and I don’t see that changing anytime soon… I can’t see them every trying Chelsea and Kyle however going on her past behavior maybe she becomes slightly obsessed with a married man though? I think it’ll end up being Chance since he and Abby seem to be having a few issues concerning Dom/Devon

I don’t for a second think that Kyle would have any romantic interest in Chelsea. But from her side, it sure seemed like she might have a new guy to fixate on.

Here’s a way out thought. Chelsea kidnaps Kyle as her playtoy boyfriend (I’m sorry she just not well and it’s getting worse) and Diane gets blamed by everyone LOL.

Yikes… I mean honestly she’s never been a favorite character of mine but I’d rather the writing get better and not worse for Chelsea. I was kind of put off by her hate for Victoria regarding Rey’s accident … that kinda scared me so I wonder if she’ll do something to target Victoria?

Now I think they are just bouncing Chelsea off of every available guy on this show (even if they are spoken for).

I don't think she'll ever get back with Adam and I hope she never does with Nick either. But this actress seems to be a fave so they will have to find someone to hook her with. Kyle was nice to her, but there's nothing going on there.

I'd love to see crazy Chelsea hook up with Ashland! That would freak everyone out. But I doubt she'll do anything to risk Connor's well-being.

I noticed a look she had for Kyle but I think she’s just desperate to replace Rey with someone else. It’s twisted. She’s unraveling quickly. She’s stronger than that and I don’t like how she’s losing it.
