Good God Diane already has Kyle wrapped right around her little finger and is gobbling up every opportunity to insert herself into his life.
Blaming others including Jack for their heavy handed resentment. I hope Summer has better Radar. -
Summer won't go against Kyle, but Kyle is blind. He opened the door...wide open...and now everyone ever involved with her will be affected, likely even his own marriage will be affected. Those people should get restraining orders and Jack needs to tell Kyle he wants no part of her so he needs to get his own place to live. He supports Kyle's decision and that should be enough. I also do not understand how this babe can come back from the dead with no consequences. Did they not steal someone's body and use it, not to mention I would think this is a crime, faking a death and incriminating someone for murder. It wasn't even like she faked the death to be from natural causes. There were criminal charges involved. I hope that finally catches up with her because quite honestly, I've had enough of her already.Comment

You know what? I kinda get Kyle's position. He's only known her as a good mother. He never saw the evil woman that everyone else sees. The only negative experience was her faking her death which is a biggie. So I'm trying to consider what I think he should do in order to try to see if he can trust Diane and frankly, he should have let her go back to LA. He can visit her when he wants to see her. Let them rebuild their relationship one on one before bringing in the family and especially Harrison.
But that wouldn't be filled with drama.Comment

Oh yes, I agree and have said so. They can internet chat. Would be no different if Kyle were going back to Milan. He wants the relationship them don't drag the others who are wise to her into it. But yes, no drama in that. She needs to cause a huge mess before Kyle actually gets the message and she gets out of town. -
That's a great point thecourt99, Kyle has only known his mother to be a good mother. Diane never let Kyle see her evil side. She protected and shielded him from that. I agree that Kyle should of let her go to LA. Kyle could of visited her there without the distraction and all the negativity he is hearing about his mother. He could of gotten to know her on his own terms but with all the people in his ear, I just don't know how they will build their relationship.

Diane is going to use the nickname of the beloved dead daughter of Billy and Chloe. I am going to be watching for the moment when both Billy and Chloe explode.
The fact that Jack and Kyle let Diane away with that makes them both look weak and is unconscionable. Diane is FORCING a four year old boy to call her
by an affectionate name when he does not even know her. The height of manipulation.Comment

OP, I couldn't believe it either. May be Kyle simply forgot about Delia being called Dee Dee. I can't wait to see the reaction of Billy and Chloe when they hear Harrison calling Diane by their beloved daughter nickname.Comment

GC is a very large city not some quaint little town. They have an international airport which also houses the Newman and Abbott's jet. There are world class hospitals.There is a university. Major companies are in GC such as Newman Enterprises, Jabot Cosmetics, ChanceCom, Hamilton/Winters, Newman Media, Chancellor Enterprises and many more. -

If it was intentional on Diane’s part, and not just an oversight in the writing department, then it’s a very big deal. Delia was a beloved little girl who went through multiple tragedies in her unfortunately short life. She was part of the Abbott family - a daughter to Billy, a niece to Jack, Ashley, and Traci, a cousin to Kyle and Abby. If Diane knows of the nickname’s origin in this family and decides to take it for herself, it’s horribly insensitive and abhorrent. JMHO.Comment

was it Kyle that forgot Dee Dee was her nickname or is it just more lousy writing? But PERHAPS it's another twist in the storyline - hopefully that's the case
as far as the way Kyle is acting towards his MOTHER who came back to him - anyone who's ever had to experience seeing their Mother in a box looking like a cigar store indian with bad organ music playing in the background would act just like he is if the Mom showed back up - his mind is blown - he's missed her forever - now she's back -
Phyllis is acting like the jackass she is - it'll backfire on her like everything else she does- Phyllis talking about what "a decent person would do" to Summer is a joke - would a decent person or a "lady" fake a paternity and break up a marriage (Danny & Christine) -and then later try and run over the same lady who's marriage she broke up?

I am beyond disgusted that they wrote in that nickname for her. Good grief, so I suppose the whole town will have to hear her call herself that (and show their shock and outrage), or Harrison will immediately start calling her that? I don't want to hear that at all.

i don't think it's weird at all - my daughter's name is diane, and we call her that all the time, also big D, little D, just D, and DD. it's a common nickname, and just because delia died, doesn't mean everyone is a monster for using that as a nickname. move along, nothing to see there.Comment

I was more struck by the similarity to Kyle’s grandmother/Jack’s mother’s name: Dina. Both Dina and Diane abandoned their children. If Diane was watching from afar (as she says she was), then she knows Dina was eventually forgiven. I don’t think it’s a coincidence she selected such a similar name.Comment

Isn't Harrison 4 or 5? If he can't say grandma at this age, he needs evaluation.
And Kyle should catch a clue that using Billy's dead child's nickname is very inappropriate and hurtful.Comment

If Kyle doesn't want to tell Harrison that Diane is his mom that he hasn't seen in a long time and Harrison's grandmother (which is silly), why not call her Miss Diane?
"Har, this is Miss Diane. She knows the family and used to live here."
Eh, neither Diane or the Abbotts are Italian, so I wouldn't have Harrison calling her Nonna.
Billy would not be out of line in calling them on this. They have GOT to know this is going to be a nasty trigger for him. Think she wasn’t wanting to push the child call her grandma so she came up with this. At least that’s how I interpreted it. Not everything has to be some sort of conspiracy of Dianne’s. Except to phyllis of course.

I really don’t see it being a problem. I know three different Diane’s whose grandchildren call them DiDi. Only Harrison will be using that name for her; everyone else will still refer to her as Diane (or any other profanity).Comment

Before Kyle allows Diane further into his life I wish he would insist that Diane join him in therapy. He should also seek individual therapy. So many people have told him Diane is a master manipulator, he should be guarded but his inner child is vulnerable and Diane knows that and is taking advantage of it. Kyle would benefit from therapy, it would make him stronger for himself and his loved ones. JmhoComment
