I Don't Think It's Phyllis's Hatred of Diane, But Her FEAR

Of Diane! Think about it, Phyllis average rival, was always fending off Phyllis, more retaliation than actually attacking Phyllis. Phyllis has never had anyone, on HER level of physiological warfare, coming after her and what she has, and succeed. Diane did just that, she ruined Phyllis and Jack's 1st marriage. She kept Phyllis in a state of hysteria and panic, and in the end, Phyllis was her own worst enemy.

Phyllis is terrified, she lost to Diane before, and she is really shook it could happen again. It's why Phyllis took their relationship with Jsck to the next level. Phyllis is operating out of a pure state of fear, and being extremely terroritoral, she's marking her territory. Phyllis knows what it feels like to be on the loosing end in dealing with Diane and it's haunting her.

Phyllis is use to dealing with lesser opponents, women who are just defending themselves against Phyllis, not bringing it TO Phyllis. When it's a equal fight, scam for scam, conniving for conniving, Phyllis can't handle the pressure. So is so freaked out, actually Phyllis is shaking in her boots, Diane is completely inside Phyllis head.

It's an obvious case of, Phyllis can dish it, but has a he'll of a time taking it. Like most bullies, when they meet their match, it's suddenly, " Look what they did to me"... I've seen Phyllis go after other women, and she's just as ruthless and malicious as Diane, it's nice to see someone LIKE Phyllis, go after Phyllis.

Diane hasn't even gone after her yet and Phyllis is this unsettled. I wonder if Diane will do anything because so far she hasn't done anything but try to be with Kyle.

Everyone is adamant it is Kyle's decision but now they don't like his choice. I am hoping Diane is smart enough to just stay out of trouble and out of the way. Let everyone interfere and fall all over themselves. It will have nothing to do with her.

Diane doesn't have to do anything, just her presence is enough to shake her to her core. If Diane is smart she should just sit back and watch Phyllis self destruct.

Phyllis is use to being the predator, not the prey. Phyllis is a real bad ass, against a lesser opponent. Did you see this freaked out over going up against Cricket, or Sharon or Sally??? Noooo she was the bully in those cases, here, she's on even ground here, tit for tat, and she's showing just NOT a bad ass she truly is.

I think it is awesome the way Diane is so in control of her actions while Phyllis is flipping out and acting so deranged...Diane is looking like the sane one....Phyllis is always borderline manic, and all Diane has to do is give her a gentle little nudge and she is over the edge...go Diane!!

I'm truly enjoying Phyllis getting what she dished out to so many. Phyllis still remembers how Diane out started her. How Diane used Kyle the same way Phyllis used Daniel to ruin Cricket and Danny's marriage. Diane played the baby momma card to the hilt. And Phyllis couldn't handle having the tables turned on her, using some of her same tricks.

Just like other women we're right about Phyllis, but she still ruined marriages and destroyed families. Diane couldn't have happened to a better person.

Phyllis is PETRIFIED that history will repeat itself, you see Phyllis couldn't gain her composure when Diane facilitated her attack. She played right into Diane's hands, just like she's doing now. Diane is inside Phyllis's head, and she's doing alot of damage.

I think it's both. She has legitimate reasons to dislike her. But I do believe she views Diane as a threat to whatever she has going on with Jack.

And tbh, she never really lost Jack to Diane. Phyllis and Jack ended because she ended up testifying in favor of Victor, which completely undermined Jack and Jabot. Another reason why Phack have always been laughable to me. She even chose VICTOR over him.

It's not that Diane took Jack from Phyllis, she just used Kyle to cause problems between Jack and Phyllis. It worked Phyllis couldn't handle Diane's manipulating and scheming... she lost it on the stand during Jack n Diane custody battle and caused Jack the case.

Jack n Phyllis couldn't survive under the threat of Diane and that's what Phyllis meant she said she can't go thru this again.

Diane is the one woman that puts shaking in Phyllis boots.

It's very obvious the woman is there to cause problems. Look at what she's doing to Jack already with the mind games. I would love to see her try those games with Victor. In fact, I would love to see Jack run into Victor and tell him what Diane has said about Phyllis. Victor is watching out for his wife and family. Jack goes arund with a question mark look on his face., doubting the person who has had his back more than once over the years even though she has goofed up herself and yet he is trustong a woman who left him with a grieving son to raise. Jack is a dope. And this is just one little reason why Phyllis is scared.

I'm so sick of Phyllis inserting herself into every situation. I get why she's upset and has reason to worry, but she's once been someone that caused the same trauma (although different) on others. Seeing her scream over and over again like a lunatic is just too much. She needs her own story.

I love the way Diane operates...she just keeps that serene cool exterior and she can manipulate Phyllis with just a glance, for me it is so enjoyable to watch..Phyllis is not very smart, she never has been and Diane is using that to her advantage..Phyllis is like a puppet in Diane's hands...Diane is very smart she is using Phyllis's neediness and insecurities to torment her..

The show is mostly about Diane right now. I feel at a disadvantage because I never viewed Diane until she came back. So I don’t really understand Phyllis and Nikki’s reactions. So I very much appreciate posts like this that put Phyllis’ behavior into some perspective.

I agree that it's fear with Phyllis but I also think she fears what she will do and end up ruining her own life.
She can't seem to control herself because of Diane. Diane is totally at ease and very confident and has all ready started in on Jack and Phyllis.
