He sure had an attitude about Nate's idea of using the new talent. He was just floating an idea. Why did Devon get on his high horse?

In all fairness to Devon, Nate and Lily were stepping on his toes. That end of the business belongs to Devon and he had rights to call them out on that as per their agreement. The only thing I thought was a bit unecessary was the attitude. They didn't go ahead with their plan, they only presented it to Devon but he didn't like that and we all know that Devon has to have things his own way. I think it stemmed from a grudge that he developed now since Amanda shared information about her mother with Nate instead of Devon and Devon didn't like it so he's using it against Nate. This is going to get interesting. -
Lately it's seem like Devon is on edge and ready to snap at anyone who says or does something he doesn't agree with. I felt bad for Nate. This is all new to Nate something Devon should understand and watch his attitude. Devon seems to be really insecure when it comes to Nate and jealous in my opinion. I see nothing but trouble ahead for them.Comment

Can you imagine Victor, Victoria, Jack, Kyle, or Jill getting their nose bent out of shape for weighing in on what band should play at a company event? Yikes! Talk about a drama queen. -
I guess these folks can’t hire a party planner.
The scenes about the party are crazy. Nate goes to Society to pick up the food instead of Uber Eats or some other delivery. Billy is taking notes from the meeting and will share them with Nate. Crazy.
We better see this party given all the dialogue about it for a couple of weeks.

When isn't Devon a jerk? He's being passive aggressive with Nate because Nate earned his position as a doctor, and Devon in inherited his position with the help of Katherine's money and Neil help setting up the company.
Devon was also a jerk to Abby, asking why Dom looked sick, insinuating she isn't taking care of him right. Poor Abby has to spend the next 18 years kissing up to this guy just to keep him off her back.

Devon over-reacted with Nate, at the same time Lily over-reacted with Billy. I can see the shake-up coming a mile away.
It's usually not good to mix business with family unless that's already been established. This doesn't seem like it will end well. And there's Imani waiting to pounce.

What irritated me about this whole situation is that Nate is NEW to the business so him being overzealous about his ideas and pitching them, it is to be expected. It was Devon who asked Nate to be his COO so take a chill pill, Devon. I think deep down, he probably wishes he was the BOSS.Comment

I know JG put Nate in the business aspect of things but I sure wish some specialist come to town and operate and can assure Nate that he can become a surgeon again, it just doesn’t feel right for Nate not to be a doctor. I also think Devon resents Nate, after all it was Lily’s idea to pitch the job to Nate, then Devon went along with it and offered for Nate to be his COO. YES..I thought the same thing when they moved in next door. Everyone was concerned about Elena's feelings about that yet no one questioned how Devon would feel about that. I don't think any of them have gotten past their personal feelings but they made amends and chose to be decent and civil with one another. Now this company merge and all of them being so close togther at all times, especially living across the hall from each other is going to bring out the underlying true feelings of that whole group..Lily, Devon, Nate, Elena, Amand and Imani. I hope by that time Billy will be long gone from them and on the road to better things for himself.

My disgust over Devon's outburst to Nate wasn't WHAT he said, it was that he said it in front of someone else...and clearly even Imani heard him. That is a HUGE business no-no.
If you have an issue with another business associate, you take it one on one, you never call out a person in front of others. It demonstrated Devon's insecurity, one-upping Nate in public.
It was not only unprofessional, it was rude and thoughtless. My thought was Devon is jealous of Nate's newfound talent, and his looks and height too! Devon may have a Napoleon Complex.
Regardless, he really needs to work on his unprofessional demeanor.
Knowing that the Newmans are watching them, they'd better learn to put on a united front....or Newmans will eat them alive.Comment
