Ashland doesn't want to leave GC because his son is there

That's funny - until a few days ago Harrison lived in Italy but I never heard of Ashland having a plan to live in Milan - in fact he didn't even visit once. Now he can't leave GC.

That’s a head scratcher for sure considering he gladly gave his kid away basically to be taken out of the country for almost a year to run his scam without distractions but now he won’t leave because of him? Poor Harrison seems to be a prop for Ashland to use when it suits him

Using a child for any scheme is wrong and that includes what Victor and Michael might plan. I think Ashland feels like Harrison is all he has left. Not that he doesn't deserve to have lost everything and he should lose primary custody of Harrison too.

I agree… clearly Ashland has never had Harrison’s interest at heart… Ashland’s concern has always been about himself and that was evident when he simply gave up Harrison and gifted him to Summer and Kyle as if he was an accessory to use because he couldn’t be bothered with being a father while he ran his fake cancer scheme all for money and power.

I also will loath Victor and Michael if they use this kid as well for their scheme … as it’s looking right now to me it seems like the only people looking out for Harrison’s best interest are his dad Kyle and stepmom Summer

Ashland has played game well, including as it pertained Harrison. Victoria (and others) saw what Ashland did by giving up Harrison so he wouldn’t have to watch his dad go through his illness. It probably endeared Ashland in a mother’s eyes to see the sacrifice. But, it was all a scam. Harrison (and Nate) were used by Ashland to legitimize his fake cancer. Also, Ashland didn’t want to be bothered with Harrison because he had other things to take care of.

I would like to hear how Victoria reconciles Ashland’s treatment of Harrison with these feelings she still has for the man.

He wants Vicky and after today she still wants him. If I was Victor I would have pulled that chair
out from under her when she said she still has feelings for the guy. She is supposed to be so
smart. Not!! Hope Michael's scheme works. Maybe Adam can fill in for Vicky while she is at the
spa. That would be good to see.

OP, so very true. It's very sad that Ashland is still using Harrison to try and deceive people into thinking it's all about Harrison when it really is all about him getting Victoria back. Ashland really makes it hard for me to believe that it's all about Harrison when he got Harrison out of the country so that he could put his plan into motion. Ashland really needs to stop using Harrison as an excuse and start being real about his motives.

If Ashland found out Harrison was really his son I think he would fight to get him back. He could say it was the fact that it was another man’s son that he didn’t handle it well after finding out. I really thought he loved and cared for Harrison until he walked away.

I've no doubt that Ashland loves the son he's raised from birth. Besides the writing, I see Ashland as not disrupting Harrison's life w/his alleged bio father. Guess he'd be called ever'thing 'cept his name if he treated Kyle/them the way they're treating him, and snatched his son away from them! I'm just waiting for one of 'em to man/woman up and tell Ashland to his face that they're not gonna give him his son back! Then, the custody battle royale can begin, during which it is discovered that Kyle IS NOT the father!
I've also no doubt that he still loves Vicki, can't let go of her, and is hanging around until he can conjure up some plan to get her back

Kyle is Harrison's father not Ashland. I know he thought he was and I can see he would care about him as a son but he has no say over him now.

But Kyle’s name isn’t on the birth certificate, Ashland’s is. Kyle’s name isn’t on ANY official paperwork. So legally, Kyle only has the “say” that Ashland is ALLOWING him to have. OR, until the writing is changed

They dragging out this Ashland and Victoria reuniting thing. This Ashland doesn't have the spunk as the other actor so he can go. I did like him and Diane talking.
