I wish story could have been given to the characters that were already on canvas such as Elena, and Noah, there’s a lot of story that could even be told for Faith, they could have brought on a couple of recurring spots for college class mates of Faith’s. I’m just not a fan of Kyle and Summer, I sure hope they don’t start taking over the show again.

I am so happy they are back. I love them. I hope I don't have to see Summer in any scenes with Sally though at all. Not after everything Sally did to Summer. I don't feel like watching her bully Summer more than she already did.Comment

Exactly… Sally doesn’t need to be in everyone’s face all the time… let her stick to Adam and keep her nose in his business and out of the other grown folks business ( Kyle and Summer) -
I couldn’t agree more! So tired of victim Sally especially when she’s the one that started everything with Summer. I am so glad that Kyle and Summer are back they are the reason I am back to watching the show. They literally brought sexy back to YR

Well I for one ( and I know im not the only one by far) am glad they are back as a young married couple like Skyle are needed on this show imo… just because Kyle and Summer returned after only a year off screen doesn’t mean others can’t have story written for them… I’d like to see Noah and Elena and others have stories but that has absolutely nothing to do with Skyle returning as you can say the same thing for Terriah as well… should they leave so Noah can have more story? This soap almost had a whole year of an awful baby storyline shoved down our throats with Abby/Devon and chance … and before that it was Sharon and Rey which was dull as well imo… so finally the show seems to be getting better now with Skyle and Diane’s return and hopefully other characters get story as well but one has nothing to with the other imo. The show needs balance as no two or three people should be the single story told and from the way they are writing Kyle/Summer so far it looks like they are including a lot more characters in scenes with them which have to do not only with Diane’s return from the dead but also now Ashland and also Summers possibility of working for Jabot/Fenmores if her current job somehow moves operations to Genoa city … also Noah seems to be taking a liking to Allie who lives at the Abbott place with Kyle and Summer so there’s potential for Noah to be involved possibly in a story as well.. honestly this is the first time I’ve actually liked Noah in awhile… they wasted that poor guy in Tessa and Mariah’s storyline for too long as angst so I’m happy to see him finally seem to shine on his own now.Last edited by couplingchick; May 22, 2022, 06:29 PM.Comment

I don't think Sharon or Rey got any s/l in 2021 (or last year), they were more supporting other actors in their s/l's. I think Alyvia Lind (previous child actor) had the organ doner transplant s/l and so Adam, Nick, Faith, were the main ones highlight in the organ doner s/l, and Sharon was the lesser supporting and Rey was also the lesser supporting. In the meantime Sharon was only used as a background type, serving coffee at Crimson Lights, and only shown when Noah made his debut (Roy Gibson) and Sharon was only used as a support for Noah, Tessa, Mariah. As for Rey and Sharon, they barely got like 20 seconds thru out an episode, one or two episode a week and would go missing for like another week. The only other s/l was mainly to highlight Chelsea in a wheelchair and imagining Adam and Sharon having an affair and Chelsea poisoning Rey and it was highlighted for Chelsea and Chloe and Adam (these 3 were highlighted (Chelsea, Adam, and Chloe (they are favorite characters of the regime, obviously) and Rey barely came in to question Chelsea. Rey and Sharon as a couple (Sharon's home disappeared, too), were barely on 2021, which is the reason why, Sharon grieving too long, is just not believable at all now. If I remember correctly there was heavy emphasis, or storyline for Kyle and Summer, last year, around May/June/July, with the whole Tara, Ashland, and the kid. Plus, Abby, and the rest of them, that one was for a whole year and might still be going another year.

I love they are back but totally get not everyone will feel that way. We all like who we like and dislike some others. I feel they are really needed as an anchor for the younger set. I would be find if Sally doesn't reenter their orbit. She's someone I could do without.Comment

I solved the problem of my dislike for them by just forgetting about the show altogether. It's not good enough to put up with those two insufferable child-snatching fools with JG writing. I wonder how many people just fast forward them?Comment

Step siblings are not related when it is just by marriage and they have different bio fathers and mothers. -
It's still odd for a soap and for characters who thought they were actually siblings. I wonder if the show would keep both couples together if they went ahead with Jack and Phyllis. Have their been any couples together the same time their parents are on the show?

For jack and Phyllis’ sake I’m glad Kyle and Summer are back. The Abbotts should be on, most of them just visit occasionally and Jack had the house to himself. He’s a good family man who needs interaction with someone in his family.Comment

Given social media of any kind is about being negative 95% of the time (and that’s probably being too generous), I would guess it’s not an unpopular position.
For me it’s just too early to make a comment on this couple - how many scenes have they had really?

Harrison was abandoned by his so called “ father” Ashland? some want to make Kyle and Summer the bad guy for no reason… both summer and Kyle picked up the pieces and raised Harrison this last year… which imo is very UNSELFISH seeing as his other so called parent Ashland couldn’t be bothered to raise him while he ran his scam against half of Genoa City -
I was kidding, but Ashland didn't give anything up, he gave temporary permission to take Harrison to Italy. Nothing legal. Ashland is still legally Harrison's father.

I'm glad that they're back because the show needs more young in the young and the restless (I haven't been young for a very very long time) if the show is going to move on they need all of the generations on board. They need to SORAS a few of the little kids as well. Faith and Moses shouldn't be the only teenagers on the show.
I would have preferred to see the original Kyle and Summer couple, but you can't have everything.Comment
