But really, as I said in another thread, I would not mind seeing her with Noah further down the road after Imana and Noah are done with their own separate triangle stories. And yes, I think that she would have really taken over that dance floor.

I have a feeling that Elena is going to be the one to check Imani. And, going by how well Elena put Imani in her place when she drooled all over Nate (and his ties) when Elena was present - well, I think Elena might do a pretty good job of it.

Sure hope so because people really should stop indulging Imani like the spoiled youngest child in the family!

Oh, I think Elena has already grown some fangs when it comes to Imani. She's had the "hussy's" number from the beginning and has cleverly put Imani in her place a few times. Remember two forks? Or the way Elena cleverly adroitly segued a conversation into letting little sis know that Elena and Nate are living together - taking the wind out of Imani's sails.

There are more ways to check someone than to yell at them or threaten them. .

That said, I think gentle, patient Elena is more than capable of showing some gritty anger - and she'd be entitled to do so! Bring it on!

Editing to add, that your title is really quite accurate when you say Imani's presence "could have been a hoot" because she certainly is being used so far for a comedic effect.

I think Imani could be a really interesting character! Love the actress! But to have her crawling all over Nate every time she sees him is a little much. She's obviously intelligent & sophisticated from a well-to-do family. Why do they make her look so desperate for a man who's living with another woman?

I hate how they write Imani. Super extra all the time, for no reason. There is really no rhyme or reason to whatever it is she does. I wish they'd tone her down, and make her a viable romantic rival for Elena.

Well I guess it’s the opposite personalities that are supposed to bring the drama in this case. Elena has shown she is not above sleeping with someone else’s man..She’s just not as brazen as Imani to state out loud what her intentions are. I’d like to see Imani on BNB as a romantic option for Justin. Or have Justin crossover to visit his Barber family and meet Imani. He is Olivia and Dru’s cousin so that shouldn’t be too hard to do.

Elena was the one w/a man, Devon, whom she cheated on w/Nate. So Elena cheated on Devon w/Nate, but Nate cheated on no one. Nate was unattached. He was "hanging out" with Amanda and they'd not even been intimate because, first, Amanda was enamored w/Billy's antics --and talked about them whenever she/Nate were hanging out. Then she was seeing Devon every chance she got, to pump him for info about her newly discovered dead twin, Hillary --and talked about that process w/Nate, whenever she needed counsel. Amanda was using Nate as a confidante, not a romantic partner.

Yes, the Imani-Elena scenes have been GREAT for Elena - giving her a chance to show her fun, feisty, in-charge side as opposed to Imani's one-note, shallow approach.

I keep thinking that there has to be a more layered and more interesting person under all Imani's repetitive, simplistic, overdone behavior. We'll see ....
