Mariah's Wedding Where are the other Newmans?

Shouldn't there have been more Newmans at the wedding?

Is Jack close with Mariah or Tessa? Lots of Abbots.

I didn't miss them. Mariah isn't Nick's biological child (not that it matters) and the other Newman family members, with the exception of Abby, don't seem all that close to her. I thought the wedding was perfect as it was, with the exception of Diane, and she didn't disrupt anything, thank goodness. I didn't like the 70s theme, but that's just me, and Noah pulled it together perfectly. It seemed to be exactly what Mariah and Tessa wanted and that's what matters.

I did not get the sense of any particular theme for the wedding. I don't know what they meant by the 70s unless it was the music but even that didn't sound any different than the usual generic type of music played in the background. What I did notice was there was plenty of booze and no food.

The clothes were very 70s, and pretty ugly, in my opinion, but I don't like anything 70s.

I thought it was fine the way it was except for Diane. That spoiled it for me. I thought Nikki and Victor might have been there but assessing it all I don't think they would have fit in. That affair was a little too lively for them

I know both Victor and Nikki didn’t originally come from a background of money but can’t picture them being there, despite it being at the restaurant Victor owns at the top of his building. I somehow don’t think Mariah has been close to Victor since he hired her to gaslight the lady who turned out to be her mother. And don’t think Tessa given her sister stole Nikki’s gun and shot Abby’s boyfriend would have invited them to her and Mariah’s wedding.

While Noah set everything up it wouldn't be his place to invite them.

If it was Cassie then yes I would expect the Newman’s to be there but given the way Mariah came to town and what Victor had to do with that … no… I don’t expect them there. Unlike Mariah’s twin Cassie… Mariah isn’t considered technically a part of the Newman family… she’s Sharon’s daughter and has always been closest with Sharon and her immediate family and friends.

I agree. Had it been Cassie's wedding, I would have expected Victor and Nikki to be there.

Mariah isn't a Newman, why would they be at her wedding. She's a half sister to Faith and Noah and Cassie was Nick's daughter by adoption. He was never Mariah's father or stepfather.

Why?...they weren't invited. The Newmans doesn't need to be included in everything. Mariah/Tessa's wedding has nothing to do with them. Nick was there because Mariah asked him to walked her down the aisle and Noah and Faith are Mariah's half siblings...so why does Victor, Nikki, Adam or Victoria need to attend?

Yep… I mean it made sense that Nick was there with his kids ( Noah,Summer and Faith) and of course Abby because of her friendship with Mariah but beyond that no need for any other Newman’s since they aren’t Mariah’s family.

I was relieved they were not around. The ones that made some sense to be there were. The Newman’s are downers lately. I was good with it as it was.

If any other Newman I would of thought Nikki since Tessa and Nikki once had a friendship and were close at one point. I don't know if they are still close but I thought Nikki would of been there.

The Newmans do not care about Sharon’s kid. And Mariah doesn’t care about the Newmans. None of them really blinked when she was kidnapped by Stitch.

And didn’t Tessa steal from Nikki? My memory is foggy but I think she was living with them, then betrayed Nikki somehow.

The Newmans including Victoria have a bad past with Tessa. None of them have been close with Mariah. I don't get why they would have been there. Mariah isn't a Newman.

Best I remember Tessa came to town and played street guitar outside of CL. Nikki saw that she had musical talent and took her in under her wing. Think she hired Tessa to give lessons. Tessa’s sister came to town and both girls had run away/left home and living on the street, well Tessa I think in her car. Sister got messed up with a lady who pimped her out and think drugs were involved too. The guy who Abby got involved with was involved.

Anyway the sister wanted to escape that life and Tessa having been at the ranch knew where Nikki kept a gun and stole it for her sister to have protection. She ended up shooting and killing Abby’s “boyfriend”. Think he might have been her fiancé too at that point. The guy and Abby had started a business in secret in one of the Newman warehouses. Daddy didn’t think the online dating business had been a good idea but Abby really wanted to start a business to prove herself so had to keep it quiet. It was a “dating service” but unbeknownst to Abby was really a prostitution ring.

Tessa also blackmailed them over what happened with JT. I think it was Sharon who gave her money. Victoria waited in her apartment and got the money back she had hidden in a Teddy bear.

Plus, the woman who groomed the girls was Alice, Cassie’s adoptive mother.

Speaking of the guest list, why was Jack there but not Traci or Ashley? Billy and Lily? Lauren and Michael?

And why were Elena and Nate there? Not sure they even really know Mariah or Tessa. And they aren’t close with Sharon. Oh well it was nice seeing them dance around etc. such a cute couple and Elena looked gorgeous.

Jack was/is Mariah’s boss at Jabot still I guess. If not mistaken he asked her to head up marketing after Summer left and knew she would work well with Kyle as they were already friends. Granted we don’t see her at Jabot any more they do occasionally make reference to it. Jack spoke to Sharon about Mariah being absent from the office back when Stitch had kidnapped her before she delivered Dominic.

Maybe with Summer wanting Jabot to buy her current boss’ business so she and Kyle could work in GC again, we might actually see more Jabot office scenes.

As for Nate and Elena, they were involved in her life after Dominic was born. Elena lived in Mariah’s apartment before she moved out to move in with Nate didn’t she?

No need for any Newmans to be there except Nick and Faith and I suppose Noah but he's such a Debbie Downer that I would have preferred he stay at home. Plus the fact that he has pined over one of the brides for months.
I was thrilled that we had a few days that were "Victoria-free"

Aside from Shick's kids, the only two Newmans that were at the wedding are the two that have somewhat removed themselves from the Newman bubble. Abby seems closer to the Abbott's these days. She has a close friendship with Mariah and also seems to be the only Newman not named Nick that Sharon is close to. I think Abby has had more scenes with Sharon than her own sister recently.

As others have stated, I am glad they weren't there as they would've brought a lively party down.
