Nick at the wedding with Phyllis

Why is It necessary to have Phyllis at Sharon’s daughter wedding? Did Nick even talk to Phyllis?

I can’t stand Phyllis and she should have declined the invite unless she crashed it.

why is she there?? Did Nick even look her way?

I can’t believe anyone wanted her there besides maybe Jack or summer. I didn’t know Phyllis was cordial with Teriah...

phick fans only want her with Nick bc they don’t want Sharon to have him. Well it looks lke from pics that Nick is digging on Sharon hard. Phyllis needs to mind her business where Diane is concerned and I can’t believe she went to that wedding.

    again, WHY?

It irks me too because its like she is EVERYWHERE lol The writers can be so contrived sometimes. She was only there to see Diane and to further their drama. I do not recall her and Nick talking at all during the wedding scenes. I was wondering why she was there as well as Jack but then I remembered Mariah "works" at Jabot. Speaking of Jabot, when is the last time we've seen anybody at Jabot and working at the office there? Was it when Ashland first came to town? Maybe with Kyle back home now, the Jabot office will return.

I just can’t Stand that she is there with Super girl and being such a psycho about Diane.

      I’m
Glad Nick didn’t give her the time of day. He ended things with her.

As I recall it was Phyllis actually who ended things but in the end regardless Phyllis is more than happy with Jack and hasn’t given Nick a second thought in months! Also the only psycho is Diane who’s shamelessly stalking Jack and her son Kyle all over town… it’s bordering on creepy now.. to be so desperate for attention that Diane crashed Mariah’s wedding and then was thrown out by her son… ? Diane really needs to get a grip

Speaking purely from a 'reality' standpoint - Michelle Stafford likely has a minimum number of appearances per week in her contract...that can be one line, ten lines, twenty lines.....if her contracted appearances hadn't been fulfilled for that week, they stick her in a scene.

Also....the show's budget obviously does not allow for the use of multiple extras to fill a scene - the biggest example, to me, is the Crimson Lights set that always looks so empty it makes me wonder how they stay open for business. So...stick a character you are already paying in the scene.....whether it makes sense or not.

What’s the big deal? Jack asked Phyllis to be his date and Phyllis was more than happy to oblige … also Phyllis didn’t even take a glance at Nick or much acknowledge him at all so who cares? Phyllis dumped Nick and moved on months ago so I think it’s time everyone else moves on as well…. Like it or not Phyllis and Nick will always be connected as they share a daughter and hopefully soon grandchildren as well so I have no issue with the ex’s being cordial … the ONLY one who showed up uninvited and crashed the wedding was Diane! Diane had zero business being there which is why she was escorted out by her son before Phyllis or Jack threw her butt out! Diane needs to stop stalking Jack and Kyle all over town as it’s bordering on desperate now and it isn’t a good look for her

I totally agree with this post. Phyllis had every right to be there. She went as Jack's date. Diane just showed up and slinked aruond the edges. That was the most low down and tacky thing I ever saw so why is Phyllis being scrutinized for her behaviour which was perfectly fine. She was cordial to Sharon and she stayed quiet.

I agree with couplingchick, what's the big deal! Jack invited her and she graciously accepted his invite end of story. It's clear to me that Phyllis has moved on from Nick and hasn't looked back. Nick wasn't even paying Phyllis any mind. I see no problem here with Phyllis being at the wedding that her son-in-law officiated. The outrage should be pointed at Diane for crashing the wedding especially since a lot of the people there doesn't even know she's alive.

Phyllis was there as Jack’s date and it’s a good thing she was. Jack gets too overwrought and never knows what to say or do with Diane. Phyllis knows what to do!

Jack brought Phyllis as his date. Why is this confusing? I personally would've skipped the wedding had Phyllis not been there as I do not find Tessa and Mariah nor the wedding party interesting.

Nick and Phyllis did not interact, so what's up with this bizarre Phick fan callout? You, the Shick fan are the one who seems mighty concerned and pressed about Phick fans though. Very strange behavior.

I enjoyed Phyllis looking stunning, and being the life of the party, while you were stewing in anger that the queen killing the green was there. Sad. But that's the power of Phyllis, I guess. I'm sure the show is very aware of the STRONG effect she has, even on her haters.

    And Phyllis dumped Nick, FYI.

Haha yesssss!! You said it perfectly!! Phyllis most definitely dumped Nicks butt so it’s not like she’s pinning away for him… clearly she’s moved on and she looks AMAZING as she always does … MS as Phyllis makes this show for me… when Phyllis isn’t on it’s a boring day of watching Y&R for me!

Phyllis hasn’t looked back. Nick is an ex.

Phyllis was an invited guest. And, Diane is her business. Diane put Phyllis and Jack through hell. Summer is now part of the mix so like it or not, Diane is not going to have free reign to screw up Summer’s marriage like she (and failed) to screw up Phyllis’.

Jack asked Phyllis to be his plus one. I think that both Nick and Phyllis have moved on.

As for Diane, it is up to KYLE to handle his business! He's a grown man! Why does he need da da and ma-in-law to run interference? He could've dealt w/his OWN mother by asking her to leave and declining any requests. Again, if he doesn't want his mother around town, then man up and tell the woman so she can be on her way!

Gotta love Diane pushing those hypocrites' envelopes, though!

I didn't see a problem with Phyllis being at the wedding as Jack's date. Phyllis & Sharon were cordial to one another and I didn't see any tension in the room because Phyllis was there. The only one that caused tension was Diane who shouldn't have come.

I did not mind Phyllis there but i am sick of her being everywhere ! lol And she really needs to leave Diane alone she is getting Obsessed again ! Pretty soon she will be going up to Diane's room and cutting up her panties like she did Sharon . The women needs to get her crazy head in check . I agree the the poster that said Kyle is a grown man and he don't need his mother in law telling him how his heart feels about his own mother.

Nick and Phyllis both knew they were done...they actully had a very cordial break up and there is no angst between them...no one was the actual dumper and neither of them looked back....Sharon certainly had no issue with Phyllis at the wedding and Jack had the right to invite a guest...Phyllis caused no harm by being there....and her son in law was doing the officiating, I personally see no harm with her presence and she looked great!...

Phyllis absolutely did look great! Nick and Phyllis did have a cordial break up which was nice. They can attend the same events without it being so awkward which is great! If Jack wanted Phyllis there with him, I see no problem with it either.

I could understand Victor and Nikki in relation to Noah more than Nick. And if they are there than so shouldn’t Victoria and Adam be in attendance too?

And, like you, I could make a case the only reason Jack and Phyllis are there is because of Diane’s appearance and there is a bit of drama.

I think in the good days, all these people would have been in attendance regardless if they liked each other or not. ?

why would Nikki and Victor be there...Mariah is not their grandchild and neither is Tessa...yes she was Cassie's twin but her only relationship to Victor was she was hired by Victor to gaslight his former daughter-in-law Sharon by posing as the ghost of Sharon's deceased daughter, Cassie... do you want everyone to have to deal with that great memory?!?!?!?!

Mariah works at Jabot and has for quite some time, so Jack is her boss, and they probably have a pretty good relationship at this point. We never see Jabot anymore, so people forget that Mariah works for Jack.

I dont understand why Phyllis was there or Jack. I get Kyle was officiating but Kyle is Mariah's bff, Jack has nothing to do with mariah. Its almost like "hey my friend is getting married and I am in the wedding, want to come to me be in the wedding?" "But i dont really have a connection to the bride or groom or brides". "Its ok I do".

Just because you are in someone's wedding, do you invite your parent? Just a way to have Allie be there. Jack and Phyllis didnt belong there.

As multiple posters have mentioned above, Jack is Mariah’s boss @ Jabot. Therefore, he had every right to be there.

And I agree with everyone who said that Phyllis had a right to be there as well. She was asked to be Jack’s date.

And Allie wasn’t there because Jack invited her. Summer invited her.

fracabell ...and yet, Diane was there, the one and only person who had no reason to be there. Jack is Mariah's boss, so I get why he was invited and he brought Phyllis along as his plus 1. There were other people (Imani, Nate, Elena, etc.) at the wedding Mariah has no connection to...but there they were, on the dance floor gettin their boogie on.

I had no problem with Jack or Phyllis being there. Jack is always supportive of Sharon and Sharon and Phyllis have been cordial for some time now.

As I saw it, Phyllis was trying to keep Diane from creating a scene.

I agree. Phyllis wasn’t being obsessive about Diane. She spotted Diane trying to crash the wedding and wanted to stop her from ruining it and making it all about herself. Diane following Kyle to the wedding was super creepy.
