    Genoa City...definitely not Rhythm Nation

Does NO ONE in GC have any rhythm? All that awkward head bobbing and shoulder movement. Elaine from Seinfeld danced better. I mean if you can't dance, you can't dance...but, BOY!

Lol, I couldn't dance if my life depended on it, but it was an enjoyable episode for me as well.

I was stunned by the sheer number of bad dancers. It was actually kinda sweet.

IKR? I mean, in all honesty, Nick was pretty on beat...and Chance was pretty lively...but, not on beat. At least PRETEND you're dancing like normal people. Just rock, or something. If ANYONE was dancing outside the beat like they were at ANY event like THAT, people would wonder if you were stroking out.

I thought it was all in fun. No rhythm but they were all sure having a lot of fun and that's what it's about, having fun and not caring what anyone thinks. I found myself laughing and having a fun as I watched the episode and the dancing.

I didn't really notice the dancing. I'm not a dancer either. I thought they were just having fun as well. It looked like they just wanted the scene to look like it was a great party. I've been to a lot of weddings and I never see anyone who looks like they are all that good.

You know Angeldar, you are right about not really noticing the dancing. It was more like they were goofing around on the dance floor doing silly dance moves which I thought was fun. I do think they pulled it off with the great party scene they were going for there though.

It was almost like they added the music after they shot the scene.

I read once they never have actual music playing because they can't hear the dialog of the actors.

QTPie Well, that makes sense. They probably told the actors to go out there and have a good time and just “shake it” and we’ll add the music later. I just can’t believe some of those actors wouldn’t dance better than that if they had some music.

This is true Kelly R said this years ago when everyone said the amc actors couldn't dance. The music is only heard by us.

I loved it. Seemed like a real wedding with lots of bad dancing.

Even the young people couldn't dance. I'm a senior and I was laughing at the rhythmless nation of Geneo City.

Not surprised by it at all. I expected more from music producer; Devon Hamilton tho lol

To be fair, usually when filming a dance scene for a tv show or film, the music is added later. On most sets actors are dancing to no music at all because it messes with the sound of the dialogue.

Or the music they use to dance to while filming is not what we hear when it airs.

Exactly! That's why a lot of actors appear to be off beat when they dance. They're not actually hearing the music as it's being played.

I suppose IF that is the case, it makes sense for all of the non-dancing. I just found it hard to believe THAT many people couldn't find the beat...and yes, including the younger folk, and music producer Devon, as was stated previously...along with recording artist Tessa.

It was horrible, but I figured that it was filmed with no music.

It at an event like this that Malcolm Winters might have shown a dance move or two. Boy I wish I could turn back time and bring back Malcolm.

This thread is SO TRUE lol This is mostly a younger crowd too so you would think they would be more at ease dancing and you have characters in the music industry here also
