She says "we have been through so much together". Um ya. How about the time you accidently killed his wife and unborn baby, then he made sure you went to prison?

But boy, I bet those teen years were just awful.

Lily and Devon are both such unlikeable characters. I have to FF through all of their scenes. How does a person get to be a CEO of someone else's multinational company with no college education? Devon is a a lazy bum. I have never seen him doing any serious work. Katherine's money is wasted on him.

Recently Devon has been written badly and a lot of hate has been bestowed upon him. Now I guess it's Lily's time to take the heat.

Devon's grandmother left him a rich man and he's not lazy in any way shape or form.

I remember the majority of viewers being in favor of Devon throwing Lily into the hoosegow That was some lousy writing! Now, the tide has turned on both Devon AND Lily! Lily being CEO is "reparations." She should never have gone to prison for a traffic accident. Devon has more to lose than Lily w/this merger, and we Viewers of Color are losing a Black-owned Legacy family business. Guess one can't have EVER'THING...

BTW, NONE of the Newmans are college-educated, 'cept Adam; and Jill's not either. JS...

Jerze I hope Devon doesn't give up the HWG name! I wouldn't be surprised, though Consciously or not, it's a trade-off. Another character of Color is being added to the Show, so the HWG is being "disappeared" into a non-Black owned entity --probably never to be seen again... JMHO

You're right, she should have never gone to prison for that. I wasn't in favor of that at all and felt the whole time how wrong it was for Lily to do time inside for an accident.

And since she has been in prison, she should be a completely different person. Prison changes a person forever. But no, she picks up right where she left off and now she's CEO of a giant company, and has completely forgiven her brother for putting her through all of that.

I'll say it again, they should change the name to Winters Industries if they want to honor Neil so much.

Lily forgiving Devon was never shown onscreen, nor was it shown that Devon asked for forgiveness

Prison isn't rehabilitation, it's designed to inflict trauma through punishment. So, yeah, it changes a person forever but realistically, not for the better. And if one isn't criminally inclined, then it breaks them. Lily wasn't a criminal, there was nothing wrong w/her, and nothing for her to change about herself, imo. Her disliking Hillary, after everything she'd perpetrated against the Winters, was not a crime. Hillary shouldn't've jumped her butt into Lily's car, just to continue arguing w/her. Her death is on HER, as far as I'm concerned.

Lily received a bum rap that she didn't deserve, and she did the time. So, if she now has a position that she neither asked for nor earned, but was freely given to her --then she ?% deserves it. If she wants to honor her father, then she is authorized to use her position to do that. She's not doing a "takeover" of CI, and apparently, Jill is all in w/what Lily is doing.

i can't believe he bought that bull and agreed with her dumb idea to merge "their" companies!!!

They never mention it but I think Devon should bear some blame for Neil's death. He died of a heart attack which probably came from the stress of having his daughter in prison. He had moved to be closer to her in prison. The trauma to Neil and the twins to me is unforgivable for an accident. Even baby Sam was left without the only mother figure he knew. If I was Lily I would always keep Devon at arms length.

Lily can forgive Devon. That is what you do when you love someone. You forgive them for what they do. Nothing is Unforgivable. Lily is out of prison and living her best life. Lily shouldn’t be going around holding grudges against her won brother. They are family.

Scandal I agree that the stress on Neil (as a result of Devon railroading his only daughter into prison) contributed to Neil's untimely death. After Neil's death, I posted as much on this Board. I also agree that Lily has every reason to never speak to Devon again, and not just for campaigning her imprisonment. Because of his illicit relationship w/Hillary, he's also responsible for creating the acrimony w/n his family that culminated in Hillary's death.

Devon is not a likable character and neither is Lily..........both act like privileged SNOBS.....Lily has no business savvy.........and neither does Devon....Nate on the other hand should have never left the Hospital....Nate is the only sane likable one....in my opinion

I feel Devon is working all the time. He has meetings and phone calls just like all the other execs in town. He is a laid-back boss whose focus seems to be on the music industry.

I don't want him to be swallowed up by CI.

Devon seems to work more than a lot of them and people come to him to help with community and business ventures which he carefully considers prior to sponsoring or participating in. So far most of those efforts seem to be doing quite well. The only bad business decision that stands out for me is when he allowed Cane and company to cheat him out of the fortune that his grandmother bestowed upon him. Other than that he appears to have natural business savvy which I imagine he inherited from his bio-dad and grandmother, which was nurtured by Neil and to some extent Victor. Spending his teen years in a business minded household didn't hurt. I'm not a cheerleader for Devon, however, not being a business person doesn't hold up.

The same business minded exposure can also be said for several of the GC residents including the Newman, Abbott and Winters clans.

Actually, nick did go to GCU as did Sharon. I remember when nick graduated, that’s around the time he cheated on sharon with grace. Victoria never went to college, Nikki and victor tried to get her to go, but she refused. After that victor gave her a job in the mailroom, that’s when she started dating Ryan.

Victoria attended Swiss boarding school then with daddy's money was accepted into the Guggenheim Program in Florence, Italy. I'm not sure that's actually college or if she's an art major.
