  • These GC Residents really love Coffee

Seriously don't these ppl have coffee stations/break rooms in their big buildings and stuff I'm surprised Victoria doesn't have an Expresso machine in that fancy office big office of hers ..smh so tired of these coffee house scenes and I respect how old that Crimson lights set is btw!

    GC’s answer to Starbucks!

I recall a scene a few years back when Victoria was plotting to get Ashley out of her father's life and NE. Pretty sure Vikki was in the company’s coffee room. She was surprised her employees didn’t really like or want to associate with her.

I too remember the companies break room at NE. I think may be at Crimson's Light there's a variety of different kinds of fancy coffees and teas for them to choose from which is why they all go there and they don't have to make it themselves. I love Crimson Lights set. It really looks like a legit coffee house. It's so comfortable looking too!

It's likely because they want to use the CL set and maybe to get out of the office. But this is how soaps work, NE use to have a break room but I am happy to see CL. That set has been around for decades.

Plus, it’s the only place we see would see Sharon anymore. Haven’t seen her cottage in forever it seems.

The only thing they like as much as the coffee at CL are the empanadas at Society.

It's either coffee or alcohol. I think Victoria is the only one who drinks water. Lol

Unless Billie is drinking decaf may be why his butt can't sleep.

You need to have places for the characters to interact. So this is a logical place. If they all stay in their offices there is even less interaction.

There absolutely have to be common sets for people to interact on - otherwise everyone would need a house/apartment set, and an office set....and they simply don't have the budget or space for that....

I do think with the size of Crimson Lights and the lack of extras used these days it does make me wonder how they stay open - with so little business - but if they didn't have places like CL, Society, The Grand Phoenix...we'd just get people standing in hallways.

Thankfully it's not gotten as bad as the final years of Guiding Light when they did a lot of outdoor filming and you had press conferences given in fields, and a 'hospital' exterior that had a bank drive-through window, but some outdoor filming wouldn't be bad...it's just difficult to create an outdoor Wisconsin winter when you are filming in Southern California....Guiding Light was still in New York when they began the outdoor filming and used nearby New Jersey for their exterior sequences....

I use to love Guiding Light. The outdoor scenes made me sad. You could tell it had come to an end. ?

I guess coffer houses are a big thing in Genoa City, like in most big cities.

I've always wanted to post something about the offices NOT having a "break room" with coffee, etc. Almost every office at least has coffee. Jabot and Newman Industries used to have a bar, so why not coffee?
