No. Victoria doesn't own NE, she's just its CEO. Ashland doesn't own any part of NE --but he is on the Board of his former company, Cyaxeres, now NM. The Newman-Locke Communications merger hasn't been finalized yet, so if Vicki perished, then Victor could terminate the merger deal due to Ashland's fraud.
Ashland is pushing to be made co-CEO of NM w/Vicki, but I think he is doing this in order to facilitate a leveraged "takeover" from within (using his seat on the NM Board and an equal CEO position), prior to the merger being finalized. JMHO

I've seen a few places where viewers think Victoria dies.....I doubt that will happen but it does make me wonder if there isn't an attempt...I have no idea how the corporate world does it's business but I understood that the merger of NM is not complete yet and I would think that if Victor plays his cards fast, he could stop that and he could also reverse the merger of NE and Locke as well with the help of Michael. At this point, I don't think Ashland is wise to Victor's snooping so his plan to become co CEO is just another attempt to have some ruling power. Also, is there not a board of directors that would oust him as well once they know what he did?

We have no idea what the merger docs for Newman Locke say. But the prior owners would own the merged company. I assume Ashland would own 50 percent. And Victor if he owned all of Newman would own 50 percent of the merged company. I don’t know what percent of Newman Victor owned. If Ashland died, everyone seems to think Victoria would inherit from Ashland. But it is plausible that Harrison would own 50 percent of the merged company. The merger of Newman Locke is complete. It is only the purchase of Newman Media that is still not finished. Ashland wants to be CEO of the whole company, Newman Locke. If Victoria died, it would have no impact on ownership. But if Victoria died, Victor, Billy or Nick, take your pick, would kill Ashland. Then Harrison would IMO own half of Newman Locke.Last edited by Loyalyr; February 28, 2022, 08:07 AM.

Ashland doesn't own part of NE, UNTIL the merger has been finalized. He only owns his 49%, at present. If he is appointed co-CEO at this stage, it will be w/Vicki as NE CEO, and in good faith, PENDING the merger being finalized. That is why he was bum rushing her last week to appoint him. He knows that Victor was snooping around and is on to him re: his "fake" cancer. IIRC, Vicki said yes to making him co-CEO on Friday's (delayed from Thursday) U.S. show. Didn't Adam tell Victor a while back that there were some "red flags" w/the N/L merger? But, IIRC, Victor waved it off because Ashland wasn't supposed to be alive for long, and Victor would own it ALL.
