Amanda came across to me like she had already made up her mind that she was going to work for Billy and Lilly and Imani better get on board or be out of a job and partnership.
Anyone else???

Reason: Not the character's name.
Pretty much looks that way. I doubt Amanda was going to let Imani run the practice alone. So they just signed a lease for office space, supposedly have new clients & Amanda is talking about getting lawyers to handle those new clients as they move onto working for Lily? . Uh yeah ok. ?
I wonder if this means we will see more of Imani now. If they had opened up their own practice for any length of time, they would have been isolated and now there will be a bigger group with more scenes of Lily and Billy etc with them together it seems.
Amanda told Lilly and Billy she had made a commitment to her sister that they would work together. She never gave the impression she would abandon Imani. I certainly hope this show will develop a story for Imani. She has a following with the limited appearances she's had. Create something interesting people.
Lightdeb There really is something about Imani isn't there? She commands the screen when she's on. I hope they do right by her as well. Would like some focus on her too.
I don’t understand why Amanda would just abandon the new law firm she’d started with her sister! I’m sure it’s all being plot-driven to get half the characters working at Chancellor, but who would do that?? Lily expects Amanda to leave her law practice & Nate to leave the hospital just to come work at CI…under HER?? This is a woman who just tanked her last business venture with the man she now has working as her COO! Any rational professional person would have some serious misgivings about accepting that job offer. Amanda & Nate are supposed to be highly intelligent with great experience in their fields. I just feel like they’re being “dumbed down” to be a part of Lily & Billy’s “team”!

I agree with you about Nate but not Amanda. Nate already told us that he misses working with patients. Why would he be enticed by an ill defined corporate role where he won’t work with patients? Amanda, on the other hand, has been offered the general counsel spot at a multinational corporation. She’ll have diverse and interesting work, a big salary, and no doubt a generous severance package if it doesn’t work out. And, she gets to bring Imani with her. It makes sense that Amanda would take that job in a heartbeat.
