So, during the conception and pregnancy there was Abby, Mariah, Nina with Devon and Tessa. They were all supposed to be there throughout and into the future after the baby was born. And it didn't seem like it was just because Chance was gone. Now the baby needs bone marrow aspiration which is a big deal and the only one who is informed immediately is Devon. I know they discussed telling Mariah and understand they have pulled away from Mariah's attachment but even so

What happened to Team Baby?

I didn’t take all the Team Baby to mean that every time something happens each of them would be involved. What happens when Mariah has her own baby? Should she run off because she got a call that Dominic is sick? No, Mariah’s priority will be to her baby and her family.
I understand that Dominic is sick but shouldn’t Ashley and the Abbotts be told before Mariah? And, the Newmans.
These writers have totally hosed up any type of normal family dynamics and priorities.

The writers have made it more than crystal clear that team baby is really all about Devon.
They have an INFANT, a couple months old, taking music appreciation classes simply because Devon is in music. ?
At every turn we reminded it's all about Devon. Any request he has made they have to grant. Abby's contracts are worthless, Devon's are ironclad...etc., etc., etc.
Abby is around to provide the Newman blood, and Chance the Chancellor name, for Devon's baby. Every time I see Abby, Chance, and Devon in a room together Abby & Chance feel like hostage's.
It's the worst story Y&R has ever written.
I would pay money to know the reasoning behind it. That's would be the interesting story. I wish someone would quit and spill the beans on the real behind the scenes agenda here. ?

oh ya..where did Devon go? home to pack his bags? or home to get the baby's room ready so he can take him to his house

I sure hope not DallasGal. I wouldn't think it's possible for Abby & Chance to be more miserable but Devon moving in would sure do it.
The only entertainment I would get out of it is listening to this status-obsessed writing team having Devon deliver a huge mouthful of Chancellor to everyone he runs into. He won't say he's staying at Abby & Chances, he'll have to tell everyone he see's that he's staying at "his grandmother Katherine Chancellor's house". ?

Lol Devon won’t move in, he would move the baby because I guess Dominic’s sick they can assure him oversleeping once a week as it supposed to … my bet it’s more on the second option as request …

Abby and Colleen were very close as sisters, and I guess if Colleen would be alive her best moral support beside her mother would have been Colleen, and certainly being there in uncertainty moment as now. Colleen in a way was replaced with Lily for a long time, as sister/ best friend .. and now the nuclear Mariah/ Devon …,.. as a sister, I will say if you hear your nephew is sick you don’t stay home beside if it’s contagious and go naturally and visit them it see if you can help or if they are ok, even if you have you own child, and true a female best friend will do also ,... Sorry , but Mariah being there as friend for Abby concerning Dominic’s sickness won’t be overstepping and she can focus on her building a family with Tessa ,and being there for Abby .. not just family is needed all time as support only, even it would be great seeing Jack visiting or Billy in that matter.., but I am used to people making 300 miles to help a friend and a family when someone is sick, wherever happen in their own life…, a choice people do easily we don’t need to be alone in life in time of crisis to show we are strong .. but Devon’s mess and how writers interpreted his supposed support to a friend, yes will give a doubt to anyone to call a friend to say hi,… but a moral support can be genuinely positive and no gain at the end .. so even Abby and mostly Chance should deal first with the baby’s illness, … having friends as support even hearing a phone call should be welcome …Last edited by GwenSharonteam; February 11, 2022, 03:08 AM.
