  • Chance is going back to work tomorrow?

Wow, that was fast. So he tells Rey he is ready to come back to work and just like that, he's back on the force? With a gun and everything? I don't think this will end well.

And the look on Devon's face made it clear he will be watching Chance very closely.

Sharon asking Abby if Chance chose a counselor was telling too. Of course Chance doesn't think he needs any counseling.

Are they going to just drop his PTSD, and not even address it as a factor for going back to work at the PD?

Just more bad writing. No PD would take him back after what he went through without a psych evaluation.

Yeah where did that come from? Out of left field I thought. Yes Chance told Rey he wanted to come back and was ready, but Rey still expressed doubt even to Sharon that he was ready. I never heard him say well okay start back now.

That’s okay … with Dom being sick and Chance telling Abby the kid was fine and sounded okay to him so let's go to the party and leave Dom home, it’s obvious Chance doesn’t know fine from not fine.

I sure wouldnt want to be Chance's partner right now and put my life in his hands.

I chuckled when Chance said he wasnt going to counseling. It's exactly what I expected. He's going to cure himself just like Billy did. Must be something in the water in GC that magically cures all these mental problems just by sipping a glass of water.

Chance has been such a disappointment since his return. I hope they didnt sign the actor to a long term contract because he seriously needs to be gone. What a shame he has been so thoroughly ruined.

I FF through all but 5 minutes of the show so I missed this discussion / decision about Chance.

This show can only write about affairs so why doesn’t Chance leave town to see the widow who wrote him the letter. At this point an affair with her would be better than watching him give his son away and deny he needs some assistance.

At the party, Sharon asked Rey if he had heard from Chance if they were coming or not. Rey said he had talked to Chance, but only to say he was coming back to work "tomorrow". No psych eval, no nothing. Hope they don't give him a gun right away.

Chance needs something to do. Hopefully, he will come back and have a successful career.

Does Rey know Chance has PTSD? I agree with the post a gun and everything to a guy who screams
in his sleep while dreaming. I don't think so and Abby should tell Rey. Who doesn't want to get help
for a problem like his? I guess we won't ever see Paul again what a shame.

Since Rey expressed concern that Chance wasn’t ready to go back to work, shouldn’t he as his partner make sure Chance was evaluated? Geez, I would want to make sure my partner was ok and could have my back.

First thing on the back-to-work checklist should be Chance passing a psych eval. And NOT with Sharon. lol But I don't think that's going to happen. Maybe it will take Chance shooting someone before everyone else notices.

And yes, Rey (and Sharon) both know he's struggling with PTSD. In fact, Devon made sure to tell most of the town that Chance is unstable and struggling. You know, Dr. Devon.

Very unrealistic story line. What police force would allow someone suffering from PTSD to decide for themselves that they’re going back working as a police officer? And the “unseen” police chief Paul Williams approved this? Chance is NOT ready to go back to work. I’m expecting Chance to have a panic attack, accidentally shoot an innocent bystander or some other tragic occurrence that will prove he shouldn’t be back on the force

And Devon will be standing there with paperwork for full custody (unless Abby leaves Chance and moves into the penthouse nextdoor). Amanda will have it all drawn up and waiting for signatures.

If Abby moves into the penthouse next door to Devon, can you imagine how horrible that would be? Devon would be in her life every day, keeping his hawk eyes out to see what she's doing and offering his "wisdom" about how to take care of Dominic. She'll never get rid of him from her life. Oh please, dont let her do that. Im begging you!!

CloverLeaf The moment Chelsea said she wanted to sell the penthouse, I just knew it was heading for Abby to be living there. I mean why else would they do that?

I'm not surprised that Chance is going back to work with GCPD. Who would want to be at home all day with whining and sniffling Abby. Plus Chance doesn't seem to be bonding with Dominic. My guess is that he doesn't want to be a father to a child that doesn't have his DNA.

Chance is uptight and worrisome around Dominic but when the baby was at Devon's for the night he looked relaxed and had to be comforting Abby while she was wringing her hands, worrying and whining. Yet Abby didn't worry about Dominic when she dropped him off at Devon's condo and flew to Spain for days.

if Chance goes back to work he's a loser and Rey is an imbecile.

Rey isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but Chance back on GCPD is a tragedy waiting to happen.

Realistically speaking it is neither Rey or Paul's decision for Chance to return to work. There is protocol to meet after having experienced a major trauma as he did before he is deemed fit to return to work. There are other entities that take care of that and approve it. Rey is just his partner and he may have expressed his concerns to Paul and they could have been relayed to the right people. Who knows if Chance did take a fitness evaluation (mentally & physically) and passed - they don't show everything. Maybe they will mention it in passing like they do with everything to cover their bases.

I should add that ultimately it probably is the police chief's decision once he has all the information but he still can't do that without protocol being met.

You're absolutely right. For all we know right now, Chance has passed some psych eval that they haven't even shown us. One sentence about it is all we will probably get (if even that).
