The presentation Chloe and Chelsea made to Lauren was great. BUT wasn't it a tad premature. Their presentation was great and so was Chloe and clearly it impressed Lauren. However, their plan/idea to go it alone, the fact is they have no financing, no premises ... Lauren asked for a business plan which makes sense, and which I'm sure they can put together. But the fact remains they have no money and no infrastructure.

Maybe Lauren will provide all that end up owning all C&C Rights.
That's what Jill or any other business person would do, They came to the table with nothing -
It was a nasty woman meeting, in my opinion. The cattiness and hateful attitude was obnoxious. I hope Sally becomes a very successful designer and wins Adam's affection. It would serve Chelsea right after her vile behavior.Comment

The only one who was catty was Sally, she had nothing to make to this business meeting. No one called her. -
I found it civilized and work related. Lauren had a right to be resentful of Sally and not want her on board.
Chelsea and Chloe are both mature work centered Moms.
Sally wasted no time insulting Lauren behind her back, and talked so fast no one could counter.

Didn't see the presentation, we had some preemptions in my area. While Chelsea doesn't have Newman money she isn't exactly broke - she had Adam's money, her previous business and she should still have some contacts in the fashion world. Since Adam was willing to make a place for her at Newman Media I don't see why he wouldn't want to invest in her new business venture - not fund the entire project but invest. She and Chloe should get a nice severance package and she's selling the penthouse which should bring a tidy sum. People start businesses with credit cards, most of those possibilities will probably be ignored by the writers.
I'm not a fan of Chelsea or Chloe these days - I think that both of them should still be in institutions either prison or a sanitorium. That being said I don't like the way they are being written. Is it for the sake of propping Sally? I hope not.
If Sally were going to stay in GC I wanted her involved with the fashionistas as that's her wheelhouse - there was no need for the overt nasty behavior on all sides. I hoped that Chelsea's jealousy and reactions would have been more subtle and that Sally would fit in a bit better and not be so obvious in her pursuit of Adam and that she would have respected Chelsea's talents. Instead, it's just snark, snark, and not particularly good snark at every turn.

Tried to do a little research to determine when Chelsea was married to Adam, from what I can tell she was married to him both times that he "died" and subsequently married at least one other person Calvin during that time so in order to do that Adam must have been presumed to be dead. The timelines were buried in a lot of narratives and I got tired of wading through it. So my opinion is that Chelsea isn't broke, and probably still has some of Adam's money, can't remember what happened to Calvin's money. My last word on the subject. And as I often say on this board - to each their own and we are all entitled to our viewpoints. -
Doesn’t Chelsea have money from that one husband that died suddenly when she first returned to GC (before she got back with Nick)?
Also didn’t she run some scam with her mom and she got like $1million and halved it with her mom? That still would have left her with $500,000.

Exactly! But Lauren's a "mean girl" from way back. She was an absolute bullying horror to Traci! Chloe had been w/the platform from the beginning, then she hired Sally. Whatever C/C were pitching to Lauren, it was built by Chloe/Sally. Chelsea hasn't done a thing at NM nor has she done a thing in design for years. Lauren is so intent on dissing Sally, that she's being a fool. I say a fool because Chelsea embezzled MILLIONS from her, assaulted Sharon while fleeing, then went on the lam to escape prosecution. Victor repaid it, but since then, the Con has tried to kill a man and spent (fake) time in a mental institution --all of which Lauren is aware. Rubythroat1 I did acknowledge that "Lauren The Bully" was moreso in her youthful days than at present. Also, acknowledged that she gave a heartfelt apology to Traci (about nine years ago, IIRC). Traci accepted Lauren's apology, forgave her, and they're cool now. However, IRL, we know that just because someone is forgiven, it doesn't mean that their horrible deeds are forgotten, ESPECIALLY if they re-exhibit the same behavior --and, for some "selected" few, even if they don't. If "forgiveness" is applicable to Lauren, then it should be applicable to EVERYONE.
IMO, Lauren has always been "selective" about whom she decides to "work over," 'cause bullying is like a drug, it's hard to quit. But full disclosure, I am biased because until "Likey," I never liked her character. JMO

Lauren gave Sally her first job in GC. Sally thought she was too good to start with just a job. She resented when Summer came on board with more experience. She plotted and schemed to get Summer out of Fenmores. As for Chelsea stealing from Fenmores what about Sally stealing from Forresters. Lauren never lost a dime that Chelsea took. Lauren got it back. Sally pretending she was dying to get Wyatt? Sally is no innocent and has a shady past. Lauren was the original mean girl of YnR. So you like Sally but, remember the history of the ladies.Comment

Each person is able to speak for THEMSELVES, no one is qualified to opine about other POSTER's motives or thought processes nor is this allowed by Board Guidelines, if I'm not mistaken. Stick to commenting on the CHARACTER, not the POSTERS. Thank you.

I thought the pitch was kind of messy. Chloe tried her best, but Chelsea was distracted the whole time. I was surprised that Lauren actually liked it and could gloss over her past with Chelsea so quickly. And I didn't quite get part of what they were pitching, must be that I'm not hip enough.

I can't stand Chelsea and Chloe. They add nothing of value to this show. There are some characters who exist in the Y&R universe but are never seen. They are only talked about, mentioned casually now and then if only to confirm their continued existence. These include people like Christian, Mrs. Martinez, Daniel, and Paul. Great post! I know Sally has done some devious things but no worse than most GC residents. It doesn't make sense that Lauren would be willing to work with someone who imbezzled money from her and has been violent and in a mental institution because she poisoned a cop! No one seems to remember what Summer was like from the first day she met Sally - she was nasty and when she found out Lauren and Jack knew of her she pretended to be nice in front of them but was jealous - not to mention Summer's history before Sally came to town.
Ashland found the job for Summer and told Sally how to get it for her.
Summer got Phyllis on board and both tried to run Sally out of town. How does anyone in town feel sorry for Summer? Summer even resorted to physical violence. I am thrilled that character is gone.

Agreed.. Chelsea spent half the presentation time trying to figure out what Sally and Adam were doing.
Lauren1 Sally spoke to them because she heard them talking about her behind her back. They were the catty ones. What is she supposed to do let the cows talk bad about her? If they don't want her to stand up for herself, they should keep her name out of their mouths. Sally was the sole desingner of Lauren's dress and she knows people in the business to sew the dress quickly...so no need for it to take long.Comment

No matters you know people in the Fashion business, that takes the months. More after everything she made to LA, she cerysinly hadn't a good reputation in the Fashion world. All about this dress was a contrived plot.
Lauren had every right to say she was ready to work with them if Sally wasn't involved and It's all what she said Sally heard. And they can say what they want about her, and if they were wrong she'd ignore them. But everything who were said was truth and she needs a mam to defend her, she's pathetic.

Lauren is not very smart involving herself around Chelsea again. Chelsea embezzled from her. That is much worse than being butt-hurt over Victoria picking a better wedding dress than the one her designer created - Now THAT'S pathetic! If Chelsea screws her over again, it will be her own fault. Chelsea offered up video interviews that were done (assuming) by Sally...she's already trying to take something that's not hers. What's that saying? A leopard never changes it's spots?Comment
