I would think Abby told the nanny about the incident with Dom before they left the house so shouldn’t the nanny have called Abby when he didn’t get up for his feeding. Maybe nothing is wrong but as a parent I would want to know this and then decide if I want to come home and check on him. With babies, things could pop up very fast.

I would think the Nanny should have checked on the baby frequently if Abby had told her she suspected the child might be sick.
It's also hard to tell how much time had passed. Abby could have been gone for an hour or it could have been 4 hrs. It's hard to tell. But at the very least, the Nanny could have poked Dom to see him move since he didnt stir for his feeding.
Bottom line is, if she suspected her child was ill, Abby should have stayed home. If it were me, the peace of mind would have been worth giving up the party.

Chance seems to have no concerns about that kid at all. His main interest is Abby and only Abby. I've never been a parent, but I would like to think that if a baby showed signs of irregular breathing and then falling to sleep so quickly, I would have some concern and, at the least, call Elena or Nate for advice.

The couple should have stayed home or at least alerted the nanny. I'm liking Chance less and less by the day. He couldn't care less about this baby. He's a disgrace. I don't like Devon at all, but he's enough of a busy body to stick his miserable nose in it and try to get full custody. I hope the baby isn't Devon's and it gets found out through the blood tests.

Yes OP I agree with you. The nanny should of immediately called Abby when she recognized something wasn't right with Dominic. You don't just sit there and wait for the parents to come home and then tell them Dominic didn't wake up for his feeding... bad move on the nannies part.Last edited by zenmaster5; February 4, 2022, 05:39 PM.

Abby and Chance were only gone less than an hour. No one would wake a sleeping baby just to take a bottle if so little time had passed. I know I wouldn't and didn't with my sons.
The nanny was right there, sitting right on top of the bassinet. She was not at any fault whatsoever.

One time when my son was a newborn he slept straight through for over twelve hours. I was astounded, but continually checked on him. He was fine, and I didn't wake him for a bottle.

Originally posted by AngeldarI guess they felt that he was ok since he fell asleep and Abby always takes Chance's word on everything he says and he said the baby was fine since he went to sleep. It didn't show Abby discussing anything with the nanny about it. Just one more reason for Devon to take even more charge.
Sadly we could already hear Amanda’s pen starting her first amended contract.... because I guess she would discuss that Abby and Chance went to the party , and how irresponsible they were , and Devon’s mind giving there another ultimatum in one week …

I was under the impression that Abby & Chance weren’t gone for very long, maybe an hour? And although we, as viewers, could sense that the baby would probably end up getting some kind of illness that would require a blood test, normally parents aren’t going to be panicked just because their baby didn’t wake up at an exact time to have his bottle. Mine would sleep through a regular feeding time sometimes, but it didn’t mean they were sick. I would’ve been more concerned about the change in his breathing pattern.

A baby under the age of 1 yr; IMO is a big deal if a baby misses a bottle. I would not call a dr. I would be at the hospital but that is just me. This is a baby not a 10 yr old walking child.

He's a big baby and it was less than a couple of hours without a bottle. He'd be fine until he woke up. Babies wake up when they are hungry.

I guess that is where you and I are different. My first born child was always under weight but off the charts for height and still is at 30 yrs of age. If my first born missed a feeding @ under 1 yr old. I would be freaking out. JMO

The thing that caught me right away was that there was no fever. I kept expecting Abby to lean into the bassinet and touch the baby and say, "do you think he's hot?". But she didn't. Nobody ever mentioned that the baby felt warm.
Thinking the baby is breathing different is a little less easy to judge. But a fever is something tangible, and if the baby had been hot or warm then I'd say Abby should have stayed home and called the doctor.
We all know this is just fluff to get to the blood test.
