I think she should set him free so he can be infected by Phyllis with her brand of 'love' next......

I do hate to see Victoria fail at marriage #19, but....them's the breaks, kid.....

Victor doesn’t expect his CEOs to be controlled by emotions, just good business sense. She didn’t use that with Ashland. Victor knows even Nikki has gotten suspicious over a number of moves Ashland has made recently that Vikki has brushed off and instead let him rationalize to her why he’s done those. Now Ashland is trying to pit Victoria against Victor, just like she tried to do with Adam and Victor.

Why should Victoria be punished? Ashland fooled her too. Not too long ago Victor was singing Ashland’s praises to Nikki when she raised some reservations about him. They are trying to prop up Victor by rewriting history pretending he was always suspicious of Ashland. As for Victoria if and when Ashland is exposed Nikki of course and Victor will try to protect her.

What’s love gotta do with it? Not something Victor would think about coming from a CEO holding the future of his company. Vikki pursued a business decision desperate to make a corporate deal and getting the jump on everyone else who might have been interested. Victor will feel badly that Vikki’s feelings get hurt but I think that’s way different from entrusting her to fail to protect his company from an outsider. And the warning signs are becoming all the more obvious to Victor and Nikki yet Victoria will I’m sure still support her husband until it’s too late.

Let’s face it Vikki flirted with Ashland on a female to male level from the very beginning making her a bigger target and bigger fool thinking she was smarter than Ashland, who unlike her had made his own fortune and could and did outmaneuver her. Daddy’s company being the ultimate prize.

So will Vikki’s greed align herself with Ashland since she’s already taken a stance against her dad?…or will she admit she made a foolish huge costly mistake due to her ego and drive to be one of the Big Boys and beg daddy’s forgiveness and help to rectify what she has sewn with the family fortune?

Vicki's greatest punishment will be knowing that she was duped and taken advantage of again by, not only a man, but by her husband. I think she will be mentally and emotionally devastated.

I dont care what happens to her in her business life. I just want to see her overinflated ego balloon popped!

As it is she intentionally scammed her dad by making it seem like it was Adam’s poor judgment when in fact SHE is the one who went to Billy and blackmailed him into threatening to sue NM. Victor as far as we know isn’t aware of that. Just Billy, Lily and Vikki and Ashland know. Ashland didn’t put Vikki up to that, pretty sure it was all her idea but she’s been embolden by her greed and bravado to think she’s smarter than her dad. I hope Victor can't forgive her for all of this and has the Board dethrone her. And there will be Adam waiting in the wings inside the media division to see it all go down and hopefully see Victor’s plan in all this.

But that's the point, Adam hadn't and wasn't planning on acting on Billy's strategy. Vikki knew as much which is why she called Billy's and told him to up hos game. The only thing Adam was doing was gathering info in case.

Vikki did more than fall in love, she got played, Ashland spotted her a mile away, and is cashing in on it. Vikki got duped! Why hasn't she ever questioned a single thing about Ashland. Because she thinks she's out maneuvered a dying MSN. Caught him at his lowest and promised big things for his legacy. While the hold time Ashland was thinking down the line, once the merger is done.

Vikki is out of her league and this will prove she's not the powerhouse she thought she was. Face it Victor shield his kids from the real cut throats in the business world.

I’m sure Victor is now thinking Ashland has faked his illness from the very beginning, just looking for info to back up which is where Michael cones in so Victor isn’t solely responsible for digging up info. He’s tried to work hard to repair his relationship with Vikki. I was actually surprised that Victor questioned Ashland’s behavior to Vikki. Suspect she now is getting a bit nervous she may have made a huge, costly mistake for NE. Vikki should be afraid, very afraid as Victor doesn’t tolerate mistakes from his corporate leaders especially this large. Vikki knows nothing happened with Billy situation but Victor’s confidence in Adam was damaged all the same.

It didn’t sound like it has dawned on Michael however yet that Ashland might have been faking all along. Think Victor didn’t say anything to Michael preferring him to figure it out on his own.

Victor is going to save Victoria in the end just like he has done all his life. I think Ashland is going to betray Victoria eventually over the Newman/Lock empire and of course Victor will be there to make sure his eldest first daughter will be taken care of. Nikki, will see to it, too. That's a given. The Newmans are Y&R, always been and Victor is the Lord of his empire.

Even if it made him doubt Adam's competence, I still think the situations are different. Adam's issue was strategic, and Victoria's "failure" here is that she fell in love (with possibly the wrong person). I don't see how Victor can doubt Victoria's competence here...other than trying to choose who she falls in love with. What would the punishment be?

I would also have an issue with Victoria being "punished" for this. Adam missed a strategic play. Victoria fell in love. So Victoria should be punished for falling in love with the wrong person? Does that imply that she shouldn't ever be married or in any relationships because her being in love is a weakness? I think that Victoria's issue is different from Adam's for that very reason.
Let's say it caused him reason to doubt Adam's competence, and if that generated that response from Vic, what will this generate? Cause in all actuality Vic is going on what Vikki feed him. Adam never had any intent to publish Billy's scam, si there was never a threat. But there is a true threat circling, and it's right under Vikki's nose, on her watch.

Will his faith in Vikki be as shakened as he seemed with Adam.

I would rather that she didn't know. That would be the pot calling the kettle black as she told her father that Adam was incompetent because he did not see Billy coming after him and could have lost his company. She would be doing this exact same thing by trusting Ashland, in fact, even worse, because she married him, .worked closely with him and lived with him and she isn't seeing it.

Oh I agree, if he punished Adam for a “what if” with the Billy situation, what will he do to Vikki?
