I still have trouble believing the person who couldn't run a small cosmetic company and ended up getting bailed out by her Daddy after borrowing money from Neil first us capable of running 2 large business conglomerates. She had only known Ashland a couple of months before deciding to merge Newman with Locke because she was "in love" with him. I remember her making bad business decisions at Brash and Sassy because of her relationship with Billy. I remember her seeming to be stressed all the time with running the business and dealing with her kids. I remember when she went back to Newman after the problems at Brash and Sassy and Victor bringing in Ashley to help run the company. I don't remember did he put Ashley in a position over Victoria?

Writers do whatever they want for Victoria’s success but in real life, ..she’s a person who people would definitely think twice before investing in her business or work with her, in my personal view, I would never hire her from what I saw those past decades for her business skills for sure …,..but I guess here is best to see every-time she succeed and not all her failures …, or there’s a large chance people would say because she’s a woman we judge her harder …and the only aspect that count it’s her now merging her conglomerate with a total stranger ,… I want to say Ashland…

Cane lied about things with Juliet and he got her business in trouble..
Not to mention Billy also cut corners on a mask product without telling Victoria which made one of her mask products poisonous and why she was poisoned by the masks..She was hospitalized and they had no idea why (she was sick all the time, passing out, etc..) until obviously they found out..
Victoria has always been successful even her father acknowledged her devotion and work ethic.. The story with Ashley was one of competition which is what we see all the time
Ashley was eventually let go from Newman....We also saw Jack and Ashley fight for the CEO position at Jabot which we know Jack put a clause (no blood Abbott clause could run Jabot) in because he was insecure and wanted to make sure he would most always be CEO..
I don't recall seeing any topics on the show about this or is this just a random subject you wanted to bring up?

Ashley was never really Victoria’s boss. They were competing for the COO position. When Victor was in the hospital after the fight with JT each thought would appoint her as acting CEO. Instead Victor designated Nikki who put both of them in their place. LOL!

I remember and yes all CEO's can make mistakes.. I just remember she was very sick and they could not find anything wrong with her until she landed in the hospital and the last straw was with Cane and Juliet.. His lies brought a lot more damage on..
Not to mention Billy as well. She was always cleaning up after Billy.. She was babysitting Cane and Billy all the time and then she was sick all the time because of the poisoning..
To me the writers did all that so she would go back to Newman and she is excelling very well there..
I would not mind if she had a sibling or two work with her but they are running other things.. Unless they decide to try to have them work together at some point.. I just don't want to see any drama between them.. I don't mind if they have drama competing with other companies but not between them.
Then again we also aren't not going to see them have their spats once in a while. I just don't want it to be where they are at war..

Victoria's success in business has always varied based upon the storyline that they want to tell.
Between Victoria and Nick, Victoria was the one that learned about the business and was eager to learn about the business. Nick was never interested. So in the early years, the writers made a point to show that Victoria had the head for business, but Victor wanted a male heir. So if Victoria had any level of success, it was minimized because Victor preferred to have Nick in the role of his successor. At least that was the overall story as I understood it, with all of the ups and downs. At some point, the writers wanted to veer her character into another direction. She became especially focused on having children and a family. At that point, with her divided focus, then her business acumen was downplayed a bit.
Enter a SORASED Adam. Once Adam entered the picture as an adult with a business history of his own, they had to adjust the archetypes and the family dynamics a bit. I will never forget how Adam mentioned that maybe Victoria should stay home and focus on being a mother (or something along those lines). In their first business storyline, Adam wanted to buy a company, and Victoria was against it because Adam hadn't researched the company. It was written as Victoria being jealous that Adam had Victor's support and when Victor chose to make the purchase, Victoria was angry. Soon they found that the new company had pending litigation and NE was held liable. Adam apologized to Victor, and Victor ultimately saw it as a lesson and ultimately promoted Adam, which pissed Victoria off. In my opinion, that was another change in Victoria's business acumen. Suddenly, her business history becomes "iffy". What hasn't changed is that Victor wants a business male heir, and more often than not, has ignored Victoria's contributions or downplayed them. Now that he has Adam, he's stopped trying to bring Nick into the fold which is still playing out now.
Since then, they've been up and down with her history. They want to call her a success, they do. They want to say that she's failed, she does. I don't expect her or any other character to have 100% success. None of the characters do. However for some reason, Victoria's failures become a part of her character, and the failures of others are often forgotten. I find it especially troubling that the failure of Brash and Sassy is blamed on Victoria when her only issue was believing and supporting her employee during a lawsuit in which he lied and the settlement essentially bankrupted the company.
