Is Lily Billy’s Girlfriend or Mother/Therapist?

While I will admit Billy and Lily looked like a good idea on paper, their dynamic had turned Lily into Billy’s pseudo mother - like today. Pseudo therapist and enabler.

Lily actually helping Billy instead of leaving him to clean up his own mess is not helping him all.

And this episode has just proved that Lily can’t leave Billy alone for too long or else he does something catastrophic like bringing Gaines to the wedding and heaven knows where the money came from.

The tptb need to end this couple and let Billy be alone to work out his own issues. Lily needs to va with an adult she can leave unattended

This dynamic was set at the jump. Billy was circling the drain so Jill stepped in to give him a division of Chancellor which became ChancComm. Jill didn’t trust Billy so she talked Lily into being co-CEO to keep him in check. They never should have been a couple. They should have been co-workers because the dynamic could be the same as it is now; fighting over Billy’s decisions. I have always felt that Lily acts like his mother.

I haven't seen today's episode yet but sadly it sounds like the same old same old routine. In the beginning I thought they had a bit of an opposites attract relationship and they seemed to have a good time together. I even thought they long of balanced each other and that he was trying to be a better person with Lily but I think Blue Jazz really summed up his last few relationships quite well. Basically it all comes down to everything being about Billy and trying to 'fix" Billy.

Lily needs someone new. I wish they hadn't made Jordan a bad guy I likes him with Lily. I even liked Joe Clark with Lily until they made him a crazy stalker! The Newman P.I. is nice looking maybe there is some way for their paths to cross. I know some want her with Nick and I think Adam is could be an interesting possibility. If Abby and Devon end up together because of bonding over the baby and Chance comes back he and Lily could get together. I had an interesting thought they would probably never happen since PB is so against a storyline about Keemo but what if he was related to Juliet somehow and he comes to GC looking for Sam and he and Lily meet and become attracted to one another? Bring back Scott Elrod as Joe's twin brother..Jack is lonely and single and likes younger women .....

I really hate what the writers are doing to Lily, she should not be stuck with being responsible for Victoria and Billy’s kids, they should definitely be with a nanny or something, so what that Victoria is the bride she still should be interacting with her kids and the nanny. Victoria is walking around worried about Ashland and not a word about seeing her kids, or saying that the nanny is making sure they are eating, playing or resting. It seems like Lily is the nanny, and is responsible for them, I wouldn’t be surprised if Lily says she has to get the kids dressed and ready for the ceremony.

I had hope at the beginning when Lily realized what Victoria was saying was right and told him as much. But she caved in the end and started praising him and his integrity blah, blah, blah. I wish she had convinced him to leave and let the the kids go home with the Newmans. He can still support Victoria and not have to be there. I suspect he is still hoping for a last minute chance to make a plea to Vikki or for Gaines to make his move.
