I think Sutton Ames is just a great character on YR. I hope they put him on contract, he is actually commanding the spotlight on YR as an antagonist! I would like to see Sutton go head to head with Victor, and I know I mentioned before, he could definitely have a romantic interest with possibly Elena or even Phyllis "Phytton"(they can both scheme and cause havoc as a duo). If Kyle is being written off, perhaps a Sutton/Tara pairing "Suttara." I'm really impressed by the actor who plays Sutton and he could be a main player in YR future.

The whole Sutton Ames story could have been interesting if tptb had wanted. There should have been scenes inside the Ames family mansion emphasizing how prominent Sutton was instead of having the whole family traveling to GC to meet in a cheesy hotel lobby (sorry, Phyllis) to plan legal strategy. They also could have introduced more potential suspects such as Naya’s husband or certainly there should have been at least one courtroom scene. If he was a murder suspect we should have seen him handcuffed and locked up. Was Sutton even formally charged with murder? Thelma Hopkins’ appearance was so brief I blinked and missed half of it. The problem is no one really cared about this story or Sutton Ames - he was a throwaway character. All the emphasis has been on Skyle and the Lockes. I don’t know about those romantic pairings suggested but it was a waste of a character who IMO had potential.-
You've brought up some great points and I agree, there's so much potential for this storyline. But like you said there's are so many missing scenes that could have given this storyline momentum, but instead they do these scene in the hotel lobby/room, so unprofessional to meeting in public places like this to discuss confidential legal details for a case. Sometimes I am lost to what direction this story is headed to, next thing I know is Sutton in Victor's living asking for Richard's letter.

His storyline regarding Richard is going to need a special twist in order for his character to have staying power. IMHO anyway. Great actor, though. That I'm really enjoying.Comment

Why? Because there isn’t one universal viewer. Some viewers only “want” or can envision a couple comprised of a man and a woman of the same race/ethnicity, where the woman is neither taller nor older than the man.
