Could Anyone Else Use an Adam Break?

Same here. I have never much cared for the character, but my dislike has increased exponentially. I thought we'd be rid of him when he was committed, but it doesn't look that way. He is toxic.

Not me, at all. If anything, Adam makes everyone interesting or relevant. Someone has to make things happen on this otherwise boring show with boring couples. These boring couples are stale and nothing else to write about them (most of them, other than Abby and Chance, since Chance or rather the actor is new and new to a relationship and Abby has not sustain a longer relationship, maybe this one will). Otherwise, we've seen the other couples already and what else is new about them? They are written saying the same things over and over again and again. The actor, Mark Grossman, is new Adam, and I've been on his wagon train the minute he took over the role of Adam since and he has the talent to portray himself in different ways and not one sided like some. If Adam is to disappear, what will there be........just different couples in their corners, talking in circles, and saying: basically stuff we already know from years and years past.

If Adam were to disappear the same thing would happen as before. Other characters would be written as catalysts to make things happen. That is not something that only Adam can do.

The writers are overdoing with him and it hurts the character and the actor because viewers such as myself will suffer from overload.

The writers need to spread the love.

I'm a fan of Adam, but I agree - a break or a reduction in screentime/story would be nice. Too much is wrapped up in him and around him and it's starting to feel suffocating. Moreover, for all the drama surrounding him and caused by him, he's become a little boring. He's stuck in this terrible cycle of lashing out, feeling sorry for himself and his actions, then lashing out again. He loves Chelsea, no he loves Sharon, no he loves Chelsea, no he loves Sharon. It's all so repetitive.

I love the character, but they have to do something better with him.

Funny... I started watching again for him too. The return of Adam was too hard to ignore. I did the same with JHAdam until the ode to all things Chadam became too much and I stopped watching. I feel the same happening again very soon.

Nope, he is the main reason I and many others watch.

Truth be told is I may hate this story but it is the only non boring thing on the show.

When Adam was gone for three years, fans kept asking for him to return as they missed him so much.

It drove Mal nuts and he tried to turn Nick into Adam to prove Adam was not needed, showing how much Adam was needed.

Adam gets the most buzz out of any character. The five days he was not on, there was almost no activity or talk on this board and most other places.

Adam leads airtime because he is the most interesting character, period. Even the haters talk about him more than their fave.

I also expect a lot more of him with the upcoming story,.

These characters need to be on a lot less - Chelsea, Adam, Phyllis, Abby, Chance. It seems these are the characters that get story and the pairing of Chadam, Phick, Chabby are the favorites.
