All Adam Has Done is Prove Billy Right

I don’t even like Chelsea and the way he treated her today was terrible.

Since that article came out he has done nothing redeemable or prove to anyone (outside of Victor), he is worthy of a second chance.

From the blackout to breaking in to Billy’s hotel room to trying to gaslight Chelsea today.

I like a good villain but Adam is just awful. Even if Adam wanted revenge on Billy for publishing the article he cannot even do that.

At least Billy (while a jerk) has a purpose and a direction.

Billy is driven by guilt over the death of Delia, he cant face the truth that he is partly responsible.

Billy didn’t have to prove who Adam was. Everyone already knew. Billy is a hypocrite and his smugness is going to be short lived. True Adam has treated Chelsea like crap but I remember a time she treated him like poo. Let’s be real, Adam has been trying to dump Chelsea for months and she’s been telling him “he doesn’t want that or this” yada yada. Although it was hurtful for her to hear, I’m glad she did. Now she can move on. As far as Adam who knows what he wants...he’s all over the place. I have always liked the Adam character but this version is indecisive something Adam has never been.

I agree with your post in its totality. I, too, endorse the Adam-Chelsea breakup. MCE is a good actress, but the character of Chelsea is a drag on Adam. I hear all of the whining on this board about how awful Adam has been to Chelsea. Let's talk about that. This is the same woman who tried to pass Connor off as Dylan McAvoy's son. This is the woman who's close friends with Chloe, the borderline psychopath who tried three times to kill Adam, THREE times, over a tragic accident. Given their own pasts, to see Chloe and that Chipmunk husband of hers be smug and act morally superior to Adam is a cosmic joke of epic proportions. Chelsea treated Adam like crap after learning that he had survived that explosion, even denying him the chance to see their son. And when Nick, Genoa City's resident horn dog, suggested to Chelsea that she and Adam leave town, the girl turned flips in trying to convince Adam to do that. I am not sure if she has ever really loved Adam, but he is well-served by not having this particular albatross around his neck.

Billy and Adam feels like a battle of two losers right now. Sucks because I want to enjoy watching both characters, but neither of them give me any reason to do so.

The problem with Billy hating Adam is that he doesn’t have a moral leg to stand on- not given his past yet he always acts like he’s so morally superior to Adam. Apparently he can be forgiven but not Adam. His family and practically everyone else can forgive all of his endless “mistakes” yet according to him Adam is irredeemable. He was willing to commit cold blooded murder and didn’t succeed ONLY because Chloe pushed Adam out the way. Frankly, Adam doesn’t have to prove anything to him or the rest of GC. He has absolutely nothing to prove to Billy unless Billy is also willing to concede he’s a monster as well. The pile on from everyone in GC is really tiring. I hate how complacent Adam is being written. It’s frustrating being a fan of his these days.

In this article Billy failed to tell all the heroic deeds Adam has done risking his life for others where neither Nick nor Billy nor any of the others have including Rey. Adam is considered evil, yet, all the past misdeeds by others have been forgiven or whitewashed.

Chelsea walked away from Adam begging her to stay telling him she didn't want him and took up playing house with Nick with the both of them flaunting it in front of Adam trying desperately to keep Connor from him and replace him with Nick as his father like she had done with her dead husband.

The first people Adam was desperate to see when he regained his memory was Chelsea and Connor but she rejected him.

I have no sympathy for her. Perhaps now she can understand how Adam felt when she ignored and rejected him.

And unlike Chelsea when she flaunted her relationship with Nick in his face, he never once degraded her by saying he was the best thing that ever happened to her and washed his hands of her. He continued to be hopeful he could reunite their family.

This is exactly how I feel... both characters are pathetic at the moment and it’s hard to single out which is worse than the other... I want them both to lose big at the moment

Ain't Chelsea the one to tell Adam let's go to war when he was down then when nick come with his b.s she tuck her tail then give up just like that no nick control of her choices I don't blame Adam one bit she is joke she not loyal one bit to the point she couldn't even tell him the truth why she said let's move keep nick out of the conversation..I don't want adam with sharon either they need to find something new and refreshing for a change and quit all the same cycles every 2 months or less

Chelsea wasn't with Adam when she was dating/living with Nick. Adam was presumed dead. Adam was hiding out in Vegas instead of contacting Chelsea and Connor.

Adam, on the other hand, was engaged to Chelsea when she heard him profess his love for Sharon.

I cannot believe that I am taking Chelsea's side in this mess.

I just don’t understand what direction JG is taking Adam, he has written everybody in GC to say Adam is evil incarnate, and now he has written Adam walking away from his family. Why did he even bother bringing back the character?
