oh boy i have to hand it to victoria today - getting 75% ownership of "phyllis's" hotel was genius!!! and then phyllis with only 25% still claiming it is HER hotel was the icing on the cake! no baby girl it is not yours anymore!

Damn... Lost opportunity. Phyllis could've brought Lauren in instead of more Victoria. I know, I know, writers have chosen not to use those characters but it would have made more sense as they are friends, Lauren's business portfolio likely needs to diversify a bit and Michael could get involved more with Phyllis in the day to day.

TunerEyes is right - Lauren and Phyllis had a big to-do a while back. Lauren was done with her!

It Lauren has that kind of money these days, then she should buy out Jabot and get complete ownership of Fenmores for herself again rather than helping Phyllis.

I don't think she has buy Jabot out money but Grand Phoenix is probably doable. She runs a department store so she must have access to millions. Last storyline with Jabot put it closer to the Billion mark.

    I have a love/hate relationship here.

I enjoy Nick and Victoria's relationship. I hate that this may sour that relationship.

I hope that it is never lost that Phyllis tried to go around Victoria. If NE has a contract with the GCAC, Phyllis was putting NE in a position where they could be sued by using her hotel. Phyllis asked for it. She got what she asked for.

Actually it would be Victoria’s fault if knowing NE had the standing contract with GCAC and she signed with Phyllis. Phyllis is always out for herself. Victoria at least knows that.

TunerEyes You are correct. That's why when Phyllis went directly to Victoria, she said no due to the contract with GCAC and the fact that she doesn't want to get into business with Phyllis. Phyllis ignored that and tried to begin wooing NE's clients directly. If she'd succeeded, it's possible that NE would have still been on the hook. Not so sure how that would work in soap world though.

I don’t understand why Victoria would Ever want to be business partners even at 75% with Phyllis. The chick was happy to send you and your mom to jail while she made a deal and was getting off.

If this is the beginning of Victoria going after Phyllis however that could be fun to watch. Will pit her against Nick tho...until he finds out she had a big part in changing meds on Victor...well maybe not...until he finds out she helped Adam steal his company...nah not that either.

I haven't seen the episode yet, but I don't understand why Phyllis didn't go to Nick or even Jack. I'm sure Nick could have bailed her out with the tax bill instead of her giving up 75% of the hotel to Victoria. Phyllis and Jack seem to be on better terms nowadays - she could have asked him for a loan. Just silly.

henyvo02 If Phyllis used the hotel as collateral for a loan, then it's the WHOLE hotel. If Vicki demands immediate payment and Phyllis can't repay it, then the GP is legally Vicki's.
Banks/Gov't/State entities aren't in the partnership business. Loan default is a loss for them but a gain in that they then own the WHOLE property, which they can then sell to cover their loss. Vicki bought the debt (which apparently amounts to 75% of the GP's net worth), so whatever entity loaned Phyllis the $$ is off of the hook.
Phyllis is in a bad spot and Vicki appears to be in b*tchism mode...

Everyone else is right - it is more drama to have Vic and Phyllis pitted against each other. No excitement in Jack or Nick helping Phyllis. Too easy.

Sounds like Bilky's Brass and Sassy deal. I hate the writers for this dumbness.

Oh well, I guess they have a reason for it, they never wanted Phyllis to own the hotel outright given all of the convulted missed opportunities... Including this one. I'm over it now and no longer care who owns GP. I won't even care if Victoria ends up being the owner ?‍♀️.

With her 25% Phyllis is the only independent owner the other 75% belongs to the lenders
Phyllis is trying to do right and just run her hotel why is it when Victoria does something underhanded. t's ok to change the storylines a little let Phyliss and Adam come out winners once in awhile I would like to see Adam and Victor bring down Billy Boy and see Victoria temporarily lose being head of the corporation let her and Billy be the heavies for awhile.

But Phyllis isn't trying to do right. The concept for the hotel was stolen from Nick. She's doing it herself now, but she used underhanded methods to prevent Abby from building a competing hotel AND she went into too much debt to buy Abby out. It wasn't smart. When Victoria told her no, she said that they had contracts. Phyllis didn't care and her actions could have put NE at risk. Phyllis wasn't trying to do right. She was trying to be underhanded and her hand got slapped.

Phyllis - trying to do right! OMG that is hilarious!! after all she did behind abby's back to steal her share of the hotel. she is always doing somehing underhanded and got stopped in her tracks!

The concept for the hotel was always Phyllis. Nick owned the real estate property via Dark Horse which owned many many real estate properties (including the stores that housed the Jabotiques, that we no longer head about).

Adam took over Dark Horse and Phyllis sold the Jabotiques property to Jabot/Jack while offering Nick lots of his real estate, he passed so Phyllis gave Victoria/Newman Ent. a very generous deal on those properties.

Vikki has no reason to want to hurt Phyllis given their last interaction before this was a good deal for Newman and a middle finger for Adam. ?‍♀️

Isn't that an Adam trick Victoria done though? Adam bought the debt of Dark Horse right under Nick's nose. I guess she learned it from her younger brother.

Actually, Victor did something similar when he bought the building that was used to run Restless Style. Victor did that to Nick.

Now storyline wise this makes much more sense so hopefully Phyllis can pay it off so she doesn’t have to deal with Bossy Victoria but with that said... I feel like a Phyllis Vs Victoria battle is much more appealing then all the non sense dealing with bratty Abby.

I am so glad. She is getting what she deserves. She blackmailed that hotel away from Abby and Chelsea and now look at how much of it she has. She is not a very good business person not to consider Uncle Sam is coming for his first.

I believe the new hotel has been dealth with.
