I liked SH ad Dr. Emily Peterson and her relationship with Jack. And Jack NEEDS a love interest, so I say bring on SH. I'm not to worried about Brady finding a love interest on Days during Kristen's absence. He's always been the kind of guy who loves and marries the one he's with. LOL.

I'd like to see Patty return and get a little redemption.
The last time she was shown, she was telling the truth about Sharon and the baby business
and no one believed her. Not her doctor, not Paul.
I was mad about that.
I was double mad that Sharon and Mariah were scheming to get her transferred.

I have been saying for years. They need to redeem Patty via noble sacrifice, which would usher the return of Emily, revealing when she left Jack she didn't know she was pregnant. She kept it a secret because she was afraid if Patty found out, the child would be in danger.
This gives Jack another MUCH NEEDED kid (and a new Branch to the Abbott family tree), and it gives Jack a love interest who won't throw him under the bus for a Newman.

I hope not! Nothing against Stacy, she is a good actress, but I was so sick of Paul calling her Pattycake, I wanted to throw up. Plus, didn't she kill Zapatos? Done with her...

I am guessing that TPTB had to bring back a Villain to amp up the show and by bring back Stacy Haiduk, she will bring in some suspense and if she is indeed returning, finally a villain will be given some decent air time or more focus or highlight. Otherwise, it will still be a limited one day or two only for a new villain or short story villain (like the one who came thru the roof in the hotel villain, he was gone, in a blink).

But they have other avenues to go - they turned Patti into a cartoon villain with the plastic surgery and shooting Jack AGAIN....and 'Mr. Kitty'....the actress is great, but Patti's ship has sailed.....
The writers haven't written a decent, complex villain in years....they've written one-dimensional, over the top, easily forgotten cartoons.....the closest they came to a good villain in years, to me, was Tom Fisher....he was manipulative, underhanded, 'dangerous' and deceptive....but he wasn't a 'mob boss' or a 'psychopath' or an 'evil twin' or 'lookalike'....
I'd still love to find out that Theo's dad is really alive, and Theo 'ran' from his family who are less than reputable...not 'mob' but not on the up and up....let Eric Vanderway come to town and get to know his half-brother Jack and chastise his son for claiming he was dead, and then slowly try to 'take over' at Jabot.....he would be older than Jack...doesn't have to be by that much - so he could be a love interest for Jill, or if they bring Gloria back he could be paired with her....the writers need a villain that interacts with almost everyone in one way or another...not just a few characters.....they need to slowly build up their bad side, and not make them a psycho....

Jack needs story, Paul needs story, Patty returning would be a good idea. I could see her messing with several characters, especially Adam, as she attempts to make amends.
Alternately, Emily coming back with a child would be fun. Can you imagine Kyle’s reaction to a SORAS’d sibling? It would be more interesting than the frat boy goings on with Theo.
Or both, Patty would probably not be pleased to know Emily had a child by Jack.
I love SH, it would be a smart idea to bring her back.

Stacy is one of my favorite actresses. I don't care if she comes back as Patty, Emily or one of their evil twins! Something which I have never understood is why TBTB never developed Patty taking revenge on Adam, with whom she still has a score to settle. Likewise, she is a great nemesis for Phyllis.

I never liked the idea that they turned Patty into psychotic killer. The poor girl had some emotional issues while she was married to Jack in the early 80s, but she had gotten the help she needed & was fine by the time she left town. There was even a scene between Patty & Jack (Andrea Evans & Terry Lester) before she left when he apologized to her for all the pain he had caused her & she had even suggested that maybe they could be friends. I had honestly hoped at one time that she could return as a mature, successful woman & that Jack would truly fall in love with a woman who still adored him. But then, Patty the lunatic arrived in town complete with plastic surgery and she did things that the original Patty would never have thought of doing! That being said, I think that Stacy Haiduk is an excellent actress & played psycho Patty very well! If the writers could give her an awesome storyline, she'd be an excellent addition to the cast!
