Really, you get a call your son is shot and is at the hospital in critical condition and, instead of rushing to the hospital, you decide to pace around the room in a soliloquy about who could've shot Brock and AHA! it comes to you that it was Clint. Smh

I think today's episode has been my favorite so far mainly because of Dru esp when she met Neil.

All I can remember is that Cassandra thought Brad was hot and a very good businessman (both true) and together they could be a very successful power couple. She had thought Paul and she were finished for good after all they’d been through. But when she realized it wasn’t going to be right was Brad she wanted back with the man she really loved Paul. But she was killed, and though she wanted Paul to be her heir, Brad lucked out financially BIG TIME, inheriting all, and didn’t give Paul a plug nickel

OMG Cassie that really was a huge twist. I knew Paul was in love with Cassandra based on that classic episode with Paul working to see to her protection from the ice gun guy that she had agreed to marry after George died and who she and Paul knew was looking to marry and murder her for her money (thanks to George dying). I had no idea that she had even married Brad let alone wanted to reconnect with Paul. So much history there!
So for as beautiful and rich as she was apparently, still don't understand why she needed/wanted to drug Brad into marrying her in Vegas. And then after letting Brad go apparently set her sites back on Paul as marriage material. Feels like I'm missing something that I'm not seeing in Y&R history threads. Was she just lonely and insecure being by herself or more to the background?Last edited by TunerEyes; May 18, 2020, 06:41 PM.

After Cassandra is unexpectedly killed, Brad inherits everything because there divorce wasn’t final. Until that little revelation Paul Williams thought he was going to be rich beyond his wildest dreams. But unfortunately for Paul that only lasted about fove minutes...Last edited by Cassie1965; May 18, 2020, 05:36 PM.

I get that Brad’s quite the catch (loved the hedge clipper joke reference) but why was Cassandra willing to trick Brad into marriage? Like he said had it played out naturally, she’s very attractive and it could have come to that but he won’t stay in a marriage under the circumstances.Last edited by TunerEyes; May 18, 2020, 05:21 PM.

Forgot to mention that while Gina saw Clint leave the building after he said a gun man was following Brock, she didn’t realize that Clint was involved in the shooting. A witness tells the police that they saw a man jump down from the fire escape onto the shooter and later run off after she heard a third shot ring out. Gina put 2 and 2 together to figure the man fleeing was Clint.

Brad tells Cassandra that he wants an annulment or divorce which ever is quicker. Wants it kept quiet otherwise said it could be embarrassing for her and her company too. She tries to talk him out of it, give it 30 days, but he says he was duped into marriage and not interested. He won’t give it 30 seconds, wants out Now! She says she knows him and they could build an empire together. He says his pride is important to him and he wants no part of it. She agrees in the end and will handle it. Brad says he’s sorry and she does likewise.
A hospital worker makes a call to Mrs C who is calmly shocked by the news and says they can’t let him die. She wonders who would shoot him and then it dawns on her Clint. She screams out Clint’s name.
that’s how it ended. It is up on CBS All Access, Season 19.

Here’s how the second half of the episode ended.
So Neil agrees to fill in for the evening as Dru’s date during this double date that Nate arranged. Dru gets Neil to show her he can dance, slow dance, right there in the Jabot hallway. And she says he has to be passionate with her to convince Nate that he’s legit boyfriend who she’s been seeing for a few weeks. She pulls him in closer and while dancing, another office guy walks back smiling at the scene. Neil is likely wondering what he got himself into. Doesn’t appear too interested in Dru at this point. Just doing her a favor. She tells him to meet her at Gina’s restaurant at 8. He says he’ll be there and she’s happily surprised. Then as he walks away to his meeting she asks what his name is and he replies, Neil. Neil Winters.
Gina is questioned by police while appearing in shock. She says she didn’t see what happened, arrived after both were laying in the alley to her restaurant. She tells them the victim is Brock Reynolds, Katherine Chancellor’s son.Last edited by TunerEyes; May 18, 2020, 05:08 PM.

I think the end scene was Mrs. Chancellor. She was quiet around Rex and Esther because she was keeping something from them. I suspect she found out that Gina was married to Clint and didn't want to tell Rex. Just a guess. Also, the ranting and raving while she's alone is classic Katherine Chancellor.
