Do you like the sex scenes?

I find I FF all sex scenes these days, and that wasn’t always the case. I once looked forward to a pairing consummating their relationship. I don’t know if it’s the particular characters having the sex because I’m not vested in them, or that I’ve seen so many sex scenes over the years on soaps that I've just generally lost interest.

I still very much get into character romances. I liked Sharon/Rey the other day, and smiled through the Amanda/Nate date (although I prefer an Amanda/Billy pairing, while not even being a big Billy fan presently).

TPTB seem to believe more sex is needed because we are getting a lot more of it recently. Do viewers think as much sex is needed?

There is way more sex than romance. A slower build up is more interesting. I think that is why some of us originally liked Kyle with Lola.

Generally I could live without the sex scenes. Abby and Chance were pretty hot. Nick and Phyllis are horrible to watch ( the grimacing and the whispering ?)
Kyle and Summer are dull. Sharon and Rey are sweet and very attractive. Adam is very good looking so I don’t mind him so much but I could live without Chelsea.

KendallSam I agree with all your choices as well... love Phick and love Summer and Kyle but pass on anything with dull Abby and her Ken doll boy toy Chance and also as sweet as Shey is Sharon and Rey are also at the same time imo boring beyond belief ... I see some are still on the “ Kyle and Summer are possibly related “ bandwagon although that was only because of Sharons sad little insecurities and her place in Nicks life so she tried to erase Summer as his daughter... her lies were all exposed exactly a year later and she admitted she switched the paternity results as well as Victor revealing his own dna test of Summer and Nick proving they are related ... can we move on from this story from 2014 already ?!????♀️ Summer and Kyle have dated and broke up and even married and divorced and once again dating again now since that story from years ago... so no.. they aren’t related and they never were related .. lol

The paternity test was not done again because of Phyllis. It was because Nick got nervous because the original test had come back as inconclusive and he told everyone he was the father.

I don’t mind them really because imo Phick have off the wall chemistry so to me the sizzle no matter what scene they are in lol. I also love Summer and Kyle and they are starting out again with a second chance at a relationship so they are understandably in that “ honeymoon “ phase where they can’t get enough of each other and I think it’s cute. Abby and Chance bore me to tears and other than sex and making out in their room or someone else’s shower they have little substance so I could do without them. I do like the romance with Sheron and Rey at the moment and considering what she’s going through it’s understandable that a lot of sex scenes would not be something they’d be showing for Shey. Also the slow build between Amanda and Nate I’m enjoying as well... interested to see more romance between those two!

I'll bet the actors will have to get COVID testing before returning to the set. But even then, it might be awhile before actors feel comfortable getting too up close and personal with their cast mates. Maybe Nick and Phyllis will just talk about the hot sex they had the night before!

To the bold. I agree, I can live without sex scenes too. I am more into story.

When they come back I don’t expect to see any kissing or sex scenes The writers will probably have focus on other things and may even think outside of the box.

I found most of the last sex scene lately really absurd because they all look the same, and I call them the bra sex scene, .. I don’t wish nudity , but not this over the top I got your top and the lady end up in bra in 5 seconds, and stay in bra in the bed,... even the 1990’s sex scene had more audacity . .. I never mind sex scene when is well done and are can be like a surprise, .. my favourite would always stayed the Shadam scene with Michael Munhey ,because they were just sensually hot, ... everything was sensual mostly, the touching , the feeling .., and always different on circumstances and everything ... .the last one I loved was still Shadam but with Mark Grossmam,..it was electrified ..I can really understand it happened what happened for real after that ...

even not a Shick fan, but the bathtub scene, was just astonishing on beauty , and elegance so ..yeas when it’s well done, and have meaning I don’t mind if it stays tasteful, and there’s still story behind it ... just do it for doing it, ... not interested...

I still remember in Bell’s time a scene with Neil and Drucilla close to a fire place ... really well done,...
rough but real, ...Danny and Cricket,... real nudity so I don’t know if the USA public had it ...

and lately, I will say Kyle and Lola had good ones, ..different everytime and playful...,.., but lovely as you expect for first love ...

I much prefer romance than sleezey lust. I always FF Nick and Phyllis because their sex scenes are so phony, cheesy, cartoonish, and forced. I like the slow build that leaves a bit to the imagination.

I hate when they show Phyllis because we had to watch her doing all the same sex scenes with Billy, so what that it’s a different actress, it’s the same character, and I’m just disgusted with the characters. IMO, there’s no feel good love stories. Summer and Kyle are committing adultry so no good feelings about that. I like to see new blossoming romances.

I agree... it’s obvious by a few of the comments including my own that it all depends on what couples you like that determines if you like a sex scene or not. I don’t mind Summer and Kyle together because they are clearly head over heels for each other and finally getting a real second chance at love again so I don’t mind that it shows them in many love scenes.. they are young and IN LOVE so of course its not hard to believe they can’t keep their hands off each other. To me Kyle and Summer have that history and that believable romance .. something imo I find is a hard sell for Abby and her boy toy of the month Chance ... Abby has always come off very vapid and immature so I have a hard time taking any of her “ romantic” scenes seriously.. they make me laugh or roll my eyes more than anything.

Exactly because it wouldn’t have been an issue if the sex scenes involved Sharon and Nick or maybe Sharon and Adam. So this seems to be mostly about Phyllis and Nick. Even when Abby and her boyfriend were having sex constantly no one complain about it, but that was probably because no one cared about them anyway. lol. I love Kyle and Summer, too, they are so in love and supportive of each other, and their chemistry makes them so believable.

I prefer intimacy over sex. Case in point... Nick washing Sharon's hair while she's bathing. It sure beats any Phick sex scenes imo.

That scene occurred several years ago, and people are still talking about it. I think it was one of the sexiest, most romantic scenes in the history of the show.

Because it was memorable. All memorable intimate scenes were talked about a lot on threads and through any message boards, and became soap memories as Nola for Shadam or bathtub for Nick and Sharon .. they’re few others, but truth I didn’t see those thread for a long time ago, ... Abby and Chance are sexy together but not memorable ..it’s really a difference of chemistry that can blow your screen or mind, when seeing the scene ... and I still find a first sex scene with Nate sizzling hot compared with all the scenes she already got with Chance , but for me they seem more mechanical than something enjoyable and I really have nothing against the both characters ...

I don’t mind sex scenes, but lately I found the most of them missing the real salt, and really a redundancy of how, and who is doing it, ... but compared what is filmed now, and what was filmed in the past. They’re just boring and meaningless ,... YR really became very low key .. I grow up watching Paul and Lauren, and them could give a real lesson of what sexy and in love is about, from what I am so bored to see those past 4th month repeatedly ,.. you had Ryan and Nina, Neil and Drucilla, Jill and som any lover I forget, .. but all scene were just different and specific for each character , and so sexy ...
And from last memories, I will definitely think than Days of our Life would do those scenes better than YR for all their characters , ..it’s really not for the prude eyes but sure they put sexiness in really other level ...

For sure, they were magic, .. and Lauren was a mean girl, but her couple with Paul was just breathtaking, what they tried so hard with Phick but they never ever got the essence ... the bad girl , with the nice guy, but their love transcending all,... but because they have a level of intimacy so real you really thought they were the real deal even in real life, I took me two decades to finally understand they would never be back together ..., .. because you saw of level of love from Paul for Lauren then you never saw on Nick’s eye ...,.. yeah Doug, was what you call a real truly romantic lead, ..., you understand why he had such a long list of love stories ?...
