Jack/Phyllis Question

Why did Jack and Phyllis break up? I see some posters say they don’t like Billy/Phyllis because of how they got together how did they get together that was so bad?

Did Phyllis fall for Billy or did Billy target Jack? And why?

I like their recent scene, and still think Phyllis/Jack can be a good couple.

After Marco raped Phyllis for months, then was discovered and the real Jack came back, Phyllis couldn't get over it and Jack wouldn't go after Victor for doing all that. Then at some point she turned to Billy who was feeling the same way and they started having sex. Jack and Phyl eventually broke up after all that.

Jack at first wanted to expose Victor for his crimes against him and Phyllis, but Phyllis refused; she eventually decided she wanted to and secretly plotted with Billy, as Jack wanted to just move on. Instead of trying to deal with her trauma in a healthy way through therapy and being honest with her husband - who himself had been abused and traumatized for months due to the Marco impersonation - Phyllis started an affair with her husband’s brother, who was pursuing her shamelessly (and for some reason didn’t seem to care two hoots about his brother at all anymore). The truth eventually came out, Jack through out Phyllis on her azz and after a couple months Billy and Phyllis started up again.
