Aren't Chelsea and Adam married?

What's the status of their marriage since Adam never died? Has that ever been discussed on the show?

I haven’t heard anyone neither Chelsea nor Adam say anything about a divorce. Seems to me if Adam was alive when she so called married Calvin, that marriage would be illegal.

A person will have to be gone seven years before they can be declared dead. Adam wasn’t gone anywhere near that many years. Chelsea was only gone one year.

They don’t write storylines only plot points. They never explained why Chelsea would steal money from anyone when she had a very lucrative business, Victor and nick gave her millions, never mind Adams life insurance policy, and portfolio, also he had all those millions he made before he died and she inherited. She doesn’t need money she needs Money management training. He

Exactly. Lol. I too have wondered about their marriage and Chelsea's finances. She has managed to inherit a lot from her marriages, and scams, but is always desperate about not having any. She is becoming more and more flighty.

No they are not married. You don't have to wait years to declare somebody dead if there is evidence to suggest they are dead. Tissue matching Adam's was found at the scene and he was legally declared dead. The marriage ended. 'Til death do us part.

I thought they were still married. I loved the look on Adam's face when he was talking to Connor about having his mom
there. Adam is thinking about moving her in and that would be a good thing. I think Connor is planning for it to happen.
He will keep having nightmares and calling mommy.

If Adam was declared legally dead, the marriage ended. The paperwork declaring him dead would essentially nullify their marriage license. The marriage wouldn't be reinstated just by Adam being alive. Chelsea and Adam would need to remarry. The thing is I don't know if Adam was actually declared dead...I wasn't watching at the time because I didn't care for Chadam 2.0 (or 1.0).

Also, Chelsea better hope her marriage to Adam ended otherwise she'd be in trouble with the other "legal" money she got from Calvin's death. She'd be guilty of bigamy and have no claim to the money she got at Calvin's death.

I am reminded of General Hospital, when it was believed Jason had come back from the dead. Turns out he and Sam were still married. They divorced, remarried and it was ultimately revealed he was Drew Cain, Jason's twin brother that had plastic surgery after being run over. The real Jason did return. (I have no idea if Jason was declared dead at the time.)

He was declared legally dead because there was good reason to presume he was dead. You can be declared legally dead without a body.

I still don't think he was declared dead and it doesn't make sense. It wasn't mentioned much either which is weird but I think Chelsea and Adam will be married 2020 so yeah ??????
