I started Loving and made the transition with them. I do think that The City was more targeted to a younger set of viewers and seemed to be more hip than the original Loving.

dee2 funny enough I literally just read an interview with Laura Wright who plays Carly, and she mentioned how she used to roller blade all around NYC so they wrote it in the show! It was definitely Ally.
Wasn't there a girl named Zoe or Zoey or something that we thought was Roscoe Borns daughter or was revealed to be his daughter or something?

dee2 she was the kind of quirky red head, one of the only new characters when the show launched. I could be wrong but I seem to remember a storyline where she was revealed to be Roscoe Born's long lost daughter. Either that or they lead us to think they were related and weren't. I can't remember where the storyline went lol but I remember the two being associated together.

I actually started watching Loving in it's last two years on ABC since I already watched the other three soaps. When it switched to The City, I didn't care for it as much and stopped watching it. I never cared for Port Charles either despite liking General Hospital.

I only watched the last few years of Loving, and I liked it. The end with Gwen being revealed as the killer and her begging Steffy to kill her because she couldn't live with what she'd done, killing her family members, that was just epic TV. We had Jacob/Angie. Yeah, Loving was great, but I liked The City even more. It was different, edgy, and I loved Nick and Lorraine. A grown up couple, each had their demons, but they loved each other, plus there was more Angie and Jacob. I loved the filming. It was a different show, but very good.Last edited by Evianfan; June 11, 2021, 08:09 PM.

I liked The City, but it was a bit slow to get into. I haven’t seen it since it went off the air.. I am trying to remember a storyline where someone is attacked and then the attacker puts them behind a wall. Does anyone remember this? I am unclear about the storyline or who it was.

I loved The City but I didn't watch Loving except for the last 3 weeks, so I am not useful to your question!

TonksIsHere I believe the last three weeks was the aftermath of the serial killer storyline, did you ever have a chance to watch clips of the storyline that lead to them leaving their town, Corinth? I can tell from your posts you're a huge soap fan, you should check them out if you ever find an opportunity. It was insane. Imagine the Quartarmaine's on GH get taken out one at a time, in the creepiest eeriest of ways. And then actually being shocked when the killer is revealed. It was so good. It was probably one of my top 5 mysteries I've ever read or watched, not even for a soap but overall

I occasionally watched THE CITY. It was ok. The only time I watched continuously was when they brought on Jane Elliot as Tracy Quartermaine! I watched daily after that!
Sure was, Cassadine Son.
I only would watch sporadic, yep(due to the great one herself Jane Elliot from GH.)
However, wasn't that into it, only tuned in more for her.

A different show entirely, so dark, yes, but I loved it. You're right, on that. Very good, it sure was, Evian Fan.

Jane didn't come on till the second year, did she? I know that the first year she was functioning as EP. She could have been on occasionally, I guess, with that kind of load. They really messed up in not tying Morgan Fairchild, oh great one that she is, into a several year contract! Not that I ever don't like Jane!
Well, I love Ms. Dimples. She was great and is a great actress, still. Debbi Morgan & oh of course, I do. Yes! I remember she starred as the lady name Carrie. But loved her best on All My Children.
Roscoe was oh my god, so horrible wasn't he?He was so evil, but yet, so good to watch.(and on One Life To Live.)
RIP to him, yes. I don't recall her though (Hickland)No. Morgan is made or was for a long time meant to be on soaps in primetime too. Some are, and so is Jane. I hope you have a great week, Tonks.Last edited by Generosa1985; April 18, 2022, 01:48 PM.
