    Sheila's Obsession: Finn or Forrester

Sheila is still in Los Angeles and is determined to have a relationship with her son. But is her obsession with Finn or the Forresters?

I think her obsession is with the Forresters and she is using her biological son to maintain that connection and to show them they can't be rid of her. She has other children and grandchildren that are never mentioned. She revealed herself to Finn on his wedding day, knowing who he was prior to his relationship with Steffy. Hayes is her grandson, a Forrester (well DNA debatable because of Massimo).. The family can blame Finn for his moment of weakness but he is only part of the problem. Finn could disappear into soapland and Sheila would still taunt Steffy and Liam (yeah Liam can't protect a fly) to have a relationship with Hayes.

The only way Steffy will have any peace is when Sheila is dead

Good points. On a similar subject, I have never understood why DNA tests were not done on Shelia and Finn. We only know for sure that Shelia and Jack had sex. We do not have any proof that Shelia is telling the truth. I at this point would like that to be brought up. Also, let us redo the DNA test on Hayes. In my mind there is enough reason to doubt the results. We only have Vinnie's word that he changed the results to show Liam is dad. Then Vinnie kills himself? I as a viewer would like them to do the test again.

I didn't understand either. No one trusts Sheila, why would they take her word for it? Why did Jack? And Li should have been the first one to suggest a test. Or at least do one on the sly. Since Sheila was arrested did they take a swab? Isn't it standard now?

    Interesting.

Either way with Hayes as Sheila's grandson, she will still have that connection and pursue Steffy, but that could change if Finn isn't the father.

For the DNA test about Finn I don't think that will change, so even if Hayes is not Sheila's son, Sheila will make sure that Finn always stays in the Forrester family, she wants this link with this family.

I think she's obsessed with Finn and the Forresters, but Finn allows her to indulge her biggest obsession

I agree, they should revisit Finn's DNA and have 5 test done at different labs just to be sure. 😁

I think Sheila is obsessed with the Forresters and Finn is just the ideal scenario for her to plant herself into the family.

Somebody's paternity test may have to come up wrong for her to disappear.

I am leaning towards Hayes being Liam's.

If Finn is feeling a connection to Sheila, I would hate to think that he is having compassionate feelings for a woman who had an affair with his father and that she is not his biological mother. That is another mess for another time. I would like to think that his father did a paternity test way back when to confirm that Sheila is speaking the truth.

So if Hayes is Liam's, he is not Finn's and Steffy can divorce him in peace and get Sheila out of her life.

Finn can freely pursue his interest in Sheila and who knows, he may become more like her in the process.

But Steffy will be free if this were to happen and no one would have to die.... as yet.

I respectfully disagree that Hayes' paternity needs to change.

All that has to change is Finn's perception of Sheila - even as whacked out as she is - being a loving mother who was forced to give up her son to give him a better life and only wants a connection with her flesh and blood son. Which would be an easy thing to do if he ever learned about Sheila's baby antics in Genoa City against a woman who is a friend of many years' standing to the Forresters!

I think, in some ways, Finn feels that Sheila's psychosis started with his "loss," so he probably feels both more compassion and responsibility for his biological mother. All that, of course, would change if Finn became aware of Sheila's true nature and motives. He would be as disillusioned with Sheila as he became with Jack right after finding out that he himself was conceived by Sheila though Jack's adultery against Li. He hasn't forgiven Jack and he won't forgive Sheila.

So, IMNSHO, this is a very easy and believable fix. Finn finding out about Sheila's real nature where he himself is concerned, in the hands of a proper writing, would be a great way to put the nice, naive, well-meaning doctor up on blocks to change his character into something darker and stronger. A smarter, more street-savvier guy who has no problem fighting dirty and being ruthless about holding onto the family he loves.

I don't think Finn would go total psycho himself; he still has Li as a moral compass and hopefully, he will eventually forgive Jack whose legal advice could come in handy, but I have often lamented that Steffy didn't end up with a young Dollar Bill Spencer instead of a nebbish like Liam. Disillusioned Finn has the potential to fill that role perfectly.

They will never make Hayes', Liam's. Having a villain biologically connected to a main core family is a classic soap. They won't remove Sheila's connection to the Forrester's, through Finn/Hayes. They also want to maintain Steffy and Sheila's rivalry long term.

Also, they've made it canon that Finn will forever be one of Steffy's major loves, and with that fact, they will forever have that connection with Hayes. They won't remove the tie.

I've heard also that Bell regretted not giving Sheila and Eric a biological child together when they were married back in the 90s, the Finn/Hayes give him the opportunity to rectify that regret.

Well then if all you propose is true. Then there is only one solution.
Shelia must die. She is beyond being a villian.
Why would we the viewers want to see a Shelia vs Steffy rivalry. I personally would not want to see Steffy have to compete with Shelia for a cracker, let alone her husband. Not must see TV, that would be turn the TV off.
If Bell had wanted us to accept Shelia he should never have brought her back more evil than she was before. What she was when she was on during the 1990's was bad enough.

It is obvious that both Finn and Sheila will stay, they are an integral part of B&B now, a lot of things will often revolve around Sheila when a drama is put around Sinn.
I think in the future Finn and Steffy will fight together against Sheila.

I always found Sheila mean, but it was worse in the 90s, child kidnapping, kidnapping of adult, murder, and attempted murder, I always found her more frightening and violent in her years.

I think that Sheila's action has to inevitably move back to Eric Forester himself.

Whether his parents allow her to see Hayes or not, he is her biological connection to the Forester family. But that fact alone does not give Sheila the power and leverage over the Foresters that she is seeking.

So, if Eric is sick, Sheila is wily enough to trick him into marrying her and controlling his shares. Just like when Quinn married him except, unlike Quinn, Sheila doesn't love Eric but wants to be the Forester Matriarch.

And, IMO, that would be delicious karma for Ridge who is not only an obnoxious, waffling jerk, but is the very idiot who facilitated Sheila's freedom by technicality and then had the brass tacks to criticize Finn's inability to clean up the hot, smelly hand grenade he threw into the SINN family.

I think the forresters were the original draw for Sheila. However, I think finn is important to her know because he genuinely feels something for her and makes Sheila feel loved. Finn accepts her and she won't have to fight him for a place in his life and she is going to use that as a conduit to fulfill her original goal of having a place in the Forrester family.

I believe the Forresters were, are, and will always be the only draw for Sheila. Finn's naivety and compassionate nature, not to mention, the yearning of an adoptee to have some kind of positive, loving connection to his biological roots, is someone she uses to get her foot in the Forrester door and leverage over them because, if something were to 'happen" to Steffy, Finn would be the sole guardian in control of Hayes.

I saw this Finn Phenomena, if you will, with a woman who lost her adoptive mother at seventeen and became estranged from her adoptive father because he married her stepmother mere weeks after his wife died. She was rejected by her birth mother when she found her, tried for years, but the woman kept rebuffing her. She ultimately found and became close to her biological father and his wife.

As a cunning and brilliant psychopath who has spent years fooling even the most expert in the psychiatric and criminal justice systems, Sheila knows about this pull of biology towards even children who were left in and raised by the best, most loving families imaginable and thus and can push Finn's buttons effortlessly...

As long as Finn believes that Sheila is telling the truth about only being motivated by her love for him and her feeling of great loss when she "was forced' to give him up. IMO, the moment Finn realizes the truth and becomes disillusioned with Sheila, he will never be able to forgive her and he will want her no where near any of his children, present or future. He will treat her exactly the way he treats Jack ever since he found out that he was conceived because his father cheated on his adoptive mother with his biological mother.

Sheila is obsessed with the Forresters. She didn’t give a crap about Finn until she saw he was marrying Steffy Forrester.

Bingo! And Sheila would stop giving a crap about Finn if he lost or gave up his connection, i.e. Hayes to the Foresters.

midnightsnow kahinamah Jack witnessed Sheila’s pregnancy, and he was present when she gave birth. There’s no reason why Sheila would have faked a pregnancy and then stolen a child just to give it up for adoption by Jack and Li. I see no indication she is not truly Finn’s mother.

Sheila later faked a pregnancy after her child w/ Scott was stillborn. She gave Lauren the black market baby (Dylan) and kept Lauren and Scott’s son for herself. Sheila had a motive to fake that pregnancy w/ Scott but not the one w/ Jack.

Finn is Sheila's obsession at the moment but everything in her life ultimately boils down to the Forresters. Having a grandchild that has both her blood and Forrester blood is the ultimate high for her, and whatever happens with Finn, Hayes will never be safe from her until she's behind bars or dead. And please don't remind me that Steffy isn't really a Forrester, because that story line is now forgotten and anyway Eric is closer to Ridge and his family than he is with his other offscreen children.

When talking to Deacon, Sheila stated that she saw herself having a relationship with Finn's family, including Kelly. I would say that she sees Finn as her hook into the Forrester family.

Ok, the authors are going to keep this link between Sheila and the Foresters thanks to Finn and Hayes. So it will never change. Thank you for the recap of the story with Lauren, I was young, I had forgotten things.

Sheila has left Eric alone. But it doesn't mean she doesn't want an all access pass into the Forrester family. She sees Finn as her way in. She doesn't seem to know how to go about having relationships, if she feels the need to stalk and bulldoze her way in. Finn should be asking her why not just call him, instead of just showing up where he is? And he wonders why Steffy gets so freaked out by every noise? She knows how Sheila operates. Still think the Sheila nonsense should have been a wrap a long time ago. But knowing how this show likes to recycle stories, it wouldn't surprise me if they just redo the Sheila/Lauren story with Steffy in the Lauren role. Not familiar with the Lauren/Sheila story, but heard about it over the years. What other reason there is to keep this useless, played out character around?

I still think this issue could be resolved with Finn finding out that it wasn't any biological tie to Sheila but his child by and marriage to Steffy Forrester that was his only draw for her.

Sheila may have gotten pregnant with Finn to trap Jack into marrying her but once things didn't work out the way Sheila thought they would, she handed Finn over to Jack, left Finn for Jack to dispose of as he saw fit, and never looked back.
I remember Sheila's bitter diatribe about having Jack's brat

I think Sheila went after Jack, because the Finnegans were wealthy and she thought his family had the money, but it was actually Li's parents that were rich. Jack didn't have any money at the time and Li was probably putting him through law school. In any case, Sheila quickly found out that if her pregnancy caused Li to divorce Jack, Sheila would be burdened with a law school student and a baby to support. That's my theory, anyway.

Jack, like many other man who have had relationships with Sheila acts wary around her and totally helpless to stop her. The expression of dread on his face when he found out that Finn and Steffy had announced Hayes' birth and their impending wedding on social medicine was a great indication of this.

It's a little bit of both.

At first when she showed up it was definitely her obsession with the Forresters and Finn was her way in cause he's her son. Sheila knows Eric penance for second and third chances and allowing crazy into the family cause they all one big family now and she thought she could use that against them. Problem is Sheila has tried to kill nearly everyone but the grandkids and now she has with the grandkids.

Now it's more Finn cause he's the only one that seem to accept her and love her. He has looked past what she literally just done to be able to hug her and call her mom. I know many that are adopted and still can't call their bio mom or dad, mom or dad and that parent didn't even do anything wrong. Finn is giving her the acceptance she has beg from nearly every man and family since she came onto the scene.

Sadly Finn is the only one that has shown acceptance to Sheila after she tried to take them out of the equation. Every other kid (except Diane, she was a baby last we saw) have distance themselves once they saw her full crazy. Finn hasn't done so, he likes to say the words but then his actions do a 180 and show that he still cares.
