Brooke needs to get over this idea of passion with her and Ridge. Taylor (HT) and Ridge (RM), now they had passion. And Quarter have

There is nothing wrong with what Brooke said. It's the character's perspective not the viewer's. I'm sure Ridge would agree with Brooke since he can't let go if her.

He did let go of her. He's cheated on her with over 4 women and he chose two other women over her but they died. I don't see it as passion. I see it as lust and obsession.
