Ridge ended his marriage to Brooke because he couldn't forgive her for defending Deacon and giving him a chance. But he forgives Taylor for defending Sheila and giving her a chance to prove that she has changed?

There is a big difference. Brooke defended deacon stood up for him. Went gegind his back lied to him over and over. Tried to convince his grandson to keep her secret. Taylor didn't defend Sheila to him. She didn't keel secrets from Ridge or manipulate a child to keep a secret at all. There is no reason fir him to need to forgive Taylor she did nothing wrong-
I saw plenty of scenes where Taylor defended Sheila. She told Ridge she believed that Sheila wants to change and to absolve herself of the guilt of shooting her. She also said that Sheila just wants to be her friend. Then criticized Thomas for suspecting Sheila of the shootings. Then defended Sheila for being in the hospital room. She also disagreed with Ridge for telling Sheila to leave the hospital and told Ridge that Sheila is part of the family. Taylor defending Sheila is 100 times worse than Brooke defending Deacon.

Gwennie123 So, what do you call what Brooke and Ridge did? If my husband kissed another person, drunk or otherwise. I consider it cheating. I have said over and over that Taylor is acting like a fool for being with Brooke husband. Furthermore, I don’t hate either woman. And lien I stated. Broke cheated on Ridge with Deacon NYE. Those are facts.
No one is responsible for shooting Steffy and killing her husband, Finn, except Shelia. No one put a gun to Sheila’s head and made her shot those two. Shelia is the only one responsible for shooting Steffy. -
If kissing is cheating then Ridge has cheated on Brooke many times. But he gets a pass. He has been kissing Taylor for weeks. Brooke on the other hand has stood by watching her husband and his ex-wife play house together. Ridge has been keeping secrets from Brooke too. Has he told her how he has been fooling around with Taylor..No he hasn't. Brooke can do so much better then Ridge. As for Taylor how sad is it to waste your life away loving a man that obviously is and always will be in love with his wife "Brooke". If kissing is cheating that would make Taylor Ridge's mistress LOL -
Gwennie123 Married people should not kiss other people. Nothing Ridge and Taylor are doing is right. But that doesn’t negate the fact that Brooke cheated on her husband with Deacon. One act doesn’t cancel out the other. And I agree with what you say about Taylor. It is sad she is wasting her life away holding on to the hope that she will get Ridge, unless in fact, she actually get Ridge. No one is getting a pass.

Three reasons I can come up with.
1. He is/was married to Brooke when she kissed Deacon, AND kept it a secret from him. Then when he forgave her for that she ran to Deacon's side when they got in a fight, defended him.
2. This was the guy that he saw played a big part in one of the lowest parts of Brooke's history, when she slept with him and blew up her daughter's life
3. The writers are trying to show that he doesn't have the emotional investment in Taylor that he does in Brooke. The more you love a person, the more it hurts when they betray you.
* I'm not a Bridge fan and think they're toxic as hell and a total mismatch, but this is what the writers are trying to sell.Comment

Brooke ran to him because Deacon was laying on the floor and obviously got the worst of the beat down. Ridge is a pig headed man. He thinks he can kiss and cheat with other women....But god forbid if a woman does. How the hell can he not see what he has been doing with Taylor is wrong. He turned and walked away from his wife into another woman's arms....He's such an arrognant Ass!!! -

Considering Taylor's involvement with Sheila caused much more trouble - she almost drugged Steffy's IV - and that Deacon helped save Steffy's life by calling 911, Ridge should think it through and let up on Brooke.Comment
