John McCook is a soap icon and a wonderful actor. As a kid I remember him as Lance Prentiss, the hot leading man on Y&R.

However, I'm not enjoying Eric, the 80 year old Great Grandpa horn dog and his pickle ball peccadilloes with Donna, who acts like a hooker frisking around with a rich John.

Worst of all, Eric hasn't even bothered to visit Steffy.

That’s my reason for really hating the character of Eric right now… such a waste using him in storylines with Logan’s only and not have him even show up to support his own granddaughter Steffy who is a forester .. truly disgusting and I don’t understand it… may as well be dead and offscreen at this point like the matriarch who Steffy is named after , Eric’s first wife Stephanie Forrester makes no sense for Eric to be running around like a teenager with that hot mess Donna Logan when they can’t even have him in a scene visiting his granddaughter… I mean with the few grandchildren he has … is he shown interacting with any of them? Or has Eric lost all brain function?

I'm embarrassed that 80 year old Eric's brains all seem to be below his belt!

And no, Eric's main interactions are with Brooke and Donna...Quinn is almost a grudging afterthought like taking Prune Juice and cod liver oil...

Steffy almost died and he didn't call or even send her a dandelion. I don't know when the last time was that he shared a meaningful scene with Thomas...Both the Tridge kids are the heirs apparent to Forrester Creations since between them they own 42.5% of the stock and are actively working at FC! Just on that point alone, you'd think Eric would take an interest.

Ridge has 20% and Eric has 37.5%. Theoretically, Brooke, Steffy, Thomas and even RJ could inherit some of Ridge's share but he's been out of the picture for awhile. It's a moot point right now since Ridge is alive and very healthy!

Steffy isn’t actually a Forester. Ridge is his stepson. Of course he treats them like real Foresters. Plus, he treated Ridge’s mother, Steffy’s namesake, horribly. Eric is thinking with his little brain! ?

Ridge was raised his son and was his son his whole life until the sudden storyline change years ago… so no.. Steffy is a Forrester as is her dad Ridge imo. Eric is just pitiful and has never used his brain … his libido comes before all common sense it seems

I never cared for the character of Eric. I didn't like how he treated his wife Stephanie, disrespecting her for many years, and I don't like him being a cheater now with Quinn. If he wants to be with Donna, then just tell Quinn, divorce her, and be with her....be a man about it, not a lying, deceptive, cheater.

              ICON.

The amiable, quite revere, handsome, talented John McCook has such a great real-life marriage, relationship with his soulmate, for almost 4 blessed decades.
I am watching for him, to see what storyline is coming up and how the one with Donna Eric Quinn will end, along with his real-type of father/son scenes with Ridge, and scenes with Steffy(hoping for one soon) and Brooke(KKL.)He is aging well, but to me, was always a very handsome man since on Three's Company.
I love to see him on air, even if just sipping a martini, and playing piano. A multi-talented individual. I hope he stay on til' and through mid 80s, as long as Bold is on the air at CBS.

This!!! The character of Eric Forrester just regress more and more each year. Like when will the character mature and I cannot believe I’m saying that about an 80 something old man
