How would you feel if this was all Steffys dream?

What if the last five years were all in Steffys dream/nightmare, and none of it was real. That when she opens her eyes she is at the guest house, after walking out on Liam! Bill is at the door and his knocking wakes her up.

Which means Finn, Kelly, Hayes and Beth don't exist. Steffy made them up. I be fine with that. It be a good reset. That means Thomas/Douglas return and Caroline isn't dead. Flo was never there, and Katie is still with Wyatt. Bridge are engaged but Ridge has not sent for Hope yet. They could write her arrival in a new way. Liam won't have two kids six months apart. Quinn never was with Carter. Paris and Zoey haven't came to LA either.

It was just a idea for the twist. It be fun to see things go down differently. There are a lot of Steffy fans, that wanted her to get a fair chance with Bill. Or for Steam to weather the storm! Finn could still come, but he doesn't have to be Sheila spawn. In fact, they could make him Quinn's son and Wyatt's brother.

Who are you talking about? Loser Liam? The dream means Liam has no kids with anyone. Hope wouldn't be there because Steffy wakes up at Queric guest house, at Bill knocking.

Wyatt also could reunite with one of the girls, Hope or Steffy. I would choose Hope, and they reconnect realizing they love each other very much. They could do a Bill/Steffy/Liam triangle. Put Katie with Thomas when he shows up. Sally schemes to get him back. Caroline isn't dead and she wants Ridge back who is engaged to Brooke.

I think going to 2017 works. That was the moment Steam fell apart, and Hope returned after four years. Bill betraying Liam, and Katie sneaking around with Wyatt. Etc.

Where would you have the nightmare begin?

In theory, I agree 5 years ago would be perfect. All of the things you mentioned, and we wouldn't even have to lose Sheila and Deacon because they were around during that time. But I think going back 5 years would alienate a lot of the audience. I have been watching forever, so I would be fine but imagine if you started 3 years ago?

If it were Brooke's nightmare, it would be really recent. Brooke passes out (alone) after drinking the champagne, and this whole thing has been a nightmare.
I could even see going back to Steffy's pill addiction. Maybe she went into a coma after taking too many pills that way, she has already met Finn, so that part would make sense; there would just be no Hayes.

I do like this idea OP. But maybe, MA could still be thomas, and Hope does come back, and she sees Steam is happy and Hope/Thomas/Caroline triangle. This way they could have written steffy's pregnancy in. Cause her and Bill never have sex, and she is pregnant and they can just movie it faster along for her maternity leave.

But, what i think would be interesting, is if some of the things that DID happen, start to become in some's memories. Like steffy cant shake the feeling she lost Liam to Hope, and that she found Finn? Or quinn does have an attraction to Carter, and not knowing why. Maybe steffy remembers the entire dream, or she only remembers bits and pieces, enough that jog her memory. Maybe she wakes up and sees Liam and remembers her dream of all he did to her with Hope, feels differently abut Liam and goes out trying to find Finn. Could be interesting.

I did this for a fanfiction I wrote a few years ago, but it started when Taylor walked out on Eric after she outed Brill and went back to when Jack was born.. I had Taylor in a coma and waking up a little ways after Jack was born and fixed some things..

I'm not sure that it is Steffy's dream, but I think it all could be one of the character's dream. I don't think the show could really go back more than a couple of years, and more likely it would be more like 6 months.

That would be way too far back. Hope and Liam were just getting started and Steffy had just gotten over her affair with Bill.

I doubt they would ever do that.
